What Do You Think Of My Website ?

Its a java based scroll bar. I am keeping it there most people have plugins on their browsers such as QuickTime, java and others and if they don't well my site is still visible besides the scroll bar. I have no intention on changing that.

Update: Its Chrome security feature nothing I can do about it, No big surprise as Google hates Java lol

25% of all internet users us Chrome. Not changing it is very short-sighted. "most people have plugins on their browsers" is totally false. Most do not. If you don't want to change it, fine. Realize that about 25% of your traffic will likely blow out. Doesn't matter to me at all. Should absolutely matter to you. Never blame anything on the user - ever; "it would be fine but YOU need a plugin."

I plan to keep it. It does not effect anything I am trying to relay to my customers. On a personal note this is 2012 Gen X and I believe a majority have plugins. However even if they don't it does not effect the user experience as its one script on index page that scrolls United States insurance news.

........from Wikepedia. From my analytics it's 28% for my site.

My site:

IE: 38.73%
Chrome: 27.89%
FF: 16.52%

So if my site had an issue with Chrome I'd be blowing out 27% of my traffic. Can't afford that.

Josh...take a step back and think about this as a business man, as you seem defensive with people who are only offering you advice that you asked for.

It may not be much now, but 25% of your visitors are going to think there is something wrong with your site...and most likely jump from your site....
