You left out - I have life insurance policy (s)

In my case time of need cremation, my guys from my Post will probably do a motorcycle escort to the National Cemetery (60 miles), 3 volleys flag, drop my ass in the hole. Drink heavily.

Or cremation, flush, drink heavily. I will be dead. Won't know the difference.

I thought the same thing. I have life insurance that will include paying for final expenses, but not really a "FE" policy.

Curious to know how many life insurance agents that sell FE have personally made end of life arrangements for themselves on any level.

Your survey needs to allow multiples. I have prepaid my funeral but I also own FE policies AND will likely buy cemetery spaces or mausoleum niches at some point in the near future.

Joking aside - Vets, keep a copy of your DD214 in a file your family can find it quickly. The funeral home will need it for the Honor Guard. If your family are Vets ask them if they have their DD214 available.

Never a charge for a Honor Guard. That was paid in full when they said "I Swear....."

If they know what funeral home they will be using it's best to have a copy of it on file there. Just saves time and stress for the family.

I had a great deal on some term life insurance for it for many years. But I out lived the damm thing. I'm still pissed off about that.

Sounds like a guy that told me, I want to cancel that insurance, " I have had it a year and haven't used it... " I told him, "It is life insurance. You have to die to use it". He said, "I don't care, I didn't use it last year and I ain't paying any longer:. The policy lapsed with the 14th premium due..

He's probably the same dunce who tells his wife, "Just throw me off in a ditch somewhere, I won't know the difference!" or decides that he "ain't leavin' nothin' behind for some other man to spend..." :1mad:

That second line is similar to what my father-in-law said when I first got in the insurance business. Said it in front of his wife and my wife (his daughter). My wife's been plenty mad with me before, but I've never seen her quite as angry as she was with him that day!:nah:

I've never quite understood where that line comes from. That they care so little about the people in their life, or they think the people in their life care so little about them? Yes, funerals are rather elaborate and expensive, and perhaps more than needed. But it is also a chance to grieve and the ceremony lends weight and finality to it.

I do know this, I have never heard that line from someone who appeared happy or even content with their life.
