Windows 7 Released Today, What It Means For Insurance Agents

Newer Macs can hold up to 16 GB of RAM
True, but not the laptops. I wish they did.

I have had a time capsule break. ($500). My MacBook Air screen is falling off. My wireless mouse broke. I can continue...

That being said I have bad luck buying items anyhow - I could list my car problems to but I won't want to put anyone to sleep.

In terms of running Windows on Mac you basically have three choices, dual boot or run VMWare or Parallels. I have ran Parallels for years, found the software to be junk and support horrible. I am running to the Mac store today to look at VMWare.

All that being the case I'll still use a Mac over PC any day... The endless crashes and viruses are enough for me, it's crazy.

""Can you even BUY something like HP care or Dell care?""

Yes. Coverage for software and hardware including liquid and dropping. I bought my Dell Latitude 810, about 2 yrs later it drooped. they sent me an 820. A year or so, later I had some heat issues, they sent me an 830.

My nerdy tech brother in law. (IT guy for UPS) has Apple tattooed on his heart. But has a couple PCs setup at home for stuff he can not do on his other machines. The few insurance guys I know that have MACs have to have a PC also. I do not need to have a MAC to do anything.

Let me ask this. Can you even BUY something like HP care or Dell care? Do they even offer this? If they don't it means that either their stuff never breaks (ha, ha) or that they would go broke if they did!! You make the call!

If you want a laptop that will NEVER break, get a Lenovo or a used IBM Thinkpad. Man, the engineers cut no corners on those. Tough as nails! More consistent than a whining, bitching, howling neo-con who just learned Obama is coming to his town to visit! :D:D:D
