I sold a client a plan with zero deductible with a premium of $607 her subsidy of $371 her portion of the premium is $236. BCBS paid a commision based on $254 premium. I don't know where they came up with $254.00 figure. Am I missing something or did they F*ck Up On all my other policies I got paid 6% on the entire premium minus some little fee.

They will pay the balance when the gov'ment pays them. Same situation here.

Sam is saying that of all the subsidized plans he's written with BCBS-IL, the only one that didn't pay full commission on both the Subsidized portion and the client's portion of the premium, was a $0 Deductible C.S.R. Silver policy.

I've only written 1 $0 Deductible CSR plan with BCBS-IL and this was today. Hopefully, if it's a system problem, it will be fixed before the May commissions are tabulated for 6/15/2014 payment.

Sam, please post back to this thread after you call BCBS and find out if your commission omission was an error, or if it was by design for $0 deductible CSR plans. Thanks in advance.

Total BS.... got paid on all mine.. many 0 deduc.

Everybody is looking for a "Phantom" or a "Commission Eating Boogeyman"

Could be an issue with the data feed from CMS. Coventry has been having issues with bad data on subsidy amounts from CMS, which has held up commissions. Though they have received the APTC, they cannot reconcile it correctly....

What is causing the commission payment delay for on-exchange business?

The Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) also known as the subsidy, component is a commissionable premium. However, CMS has not provided us the paid premium detail necessary to include this portion in the February 28 payment. Coventry is currently working on a process to pay agents based upon billed APTC amounts. Once CMS provides us with the actual APTC payment detail, the commission payments will be reconciled.

Plans are paying a % commission? What states? My state is per capita on and off exchange, $18/month. Family of 2, $36/mo, 3=$54/mo and up.

Most carriers are just paying it, if I show up as the agent--another thread--, except for Coventry...

Sam, I had an extended conversation with the Health Care Services Corporation (owner of BCBS-IL-TX-OK-NM-MT) commissions department this past Friday. They are experiencing several issues. Some are "known issues" and others are unknown. Almost all are related to how Hc.gov is either reporting bad financial information, or not sending any financial info at all, even though a case is connected to an agent.

What they suggest is that agents with any of the HCSC Blue Crosses, fax over to them a list of their customers whose commissions are not being paid properly, or not being paid at all. This will help HCSC isolate and work with HC.gov, where necessary, to fix specific issues and also ensure that our April checks/statements are more accurate.

The fax number for HCSC Commissions is: (918) 549-3039. Be sure to include your agent number on the fax, and as much information as possible regarding each specific case.
