When the going is good...make sure you put as much money away as you can...401k, Roth and 529. Too many people (in this business) are in their 50s, and not ready to retire until they're in their 70s.

Now that is some good advice.

In all honesty, retirement seems like a prison sentence to me. There's something to be said about the feeling you get from a hard days work.

For all that are interested. I have a great new lead source from a very bright CEO. I did some work for him when he was a GA selling health. Leads are awesome and less than $20/ lead. Reply to post and I can get you the info off line.

Oh, by the way hman...a quick suggestion. Post your information instead of making people PM you. If they are so good....be specific...not secretive. You'll get better results that way.

When you guys figure your lead ROI, is it for the first years commish, or do you go into your second or third year?

Because an average ROI of 7 or 8 to 1 is fantastic if you are only working the first year comm.

Lead cost of $8 x 10% close ratio. $80 per application. That's some pretty good premiums to get up to 8 to 1.

My ROI is 8:1 on FYC only.

Lead cost is around $8 (varies by vendor). I have no idea what my close ratio is but it is probably in the 10% range.

If I close 50% and my ROI is 2:1 then I cannot survive.

Close ratios don't pay the bills.

I know it has been a while since you asked but, IMHO, Most Choice is the worst of the worst. They are the Mega Health Insurance of leads. Lied about everything. When I canceled after two days, they said I had to wait until the minimum period expired and then they ended up taking another $300 because of the leads they had provided. Of course, you don't know when you start how bad they are. So you get a decent lead level. Then you find that it really sucks but you can't change. I don't have an opinion beyond that.
