2015 HealthCare.gov Marketplace Status 2015

Can anyone log into United Healthcare?

First Assurant app of the season in the books.

Healthcare.gov version 2.0 is now putting even my simple Husband/Wife applicants into the long-form method of applying, just like last year. And, it's asking Special Enrollment questions, even though we say up front that we're purchasing a 2015 plan.

It's hard to believe that Amazon, or any other Private company had a relevant role in the "new and improved" healthcare.gov. They probably did get a few million of our taxpayer dollars for their (ignored) suggestions, however.

I don't know if I am getting the short or long versions of the applications but the carrier direct connect has made the process so much easier for me it's ridiculous. It always seemed like the account creation and identity verification steps took the most time, particularly since the client had to find the verification email and validate before you could go any further.

I am pleasantly surprised by the Marketplace experience so far, it's easier to submit a subsidy eligibility application than it used to be for a fully underwritten app.

I'm envious! The best-priced carrier in Illinois doesn't have a direct connection to HC.gov. It hands you off to HC.gov, where you do the entire subsidy song and dance, then return to carrier to pick a plan, if..IF your subsidy $$ amount is transmitted from HC.gov to the carrier properly. Lots can go wrong..and does about 70% of the time.

I have to allow at least 1 hour of face-to-face, even for the simplest of cases. It's not the fastest way to write health apps, but I usually come away with an Injury and/or Critical Illness application too, so the time invested in each applicant is worth it overall.

Am I the only one seeing nothing but the "Old" version of HealthCare.gov this open-enrollment? So far, none of my new HC.gov applicants have been presented with the streamlined enrollment form.

Maybe HHS is mad at Illinois for electing a Republican governor.:skeptical:

I have had about 10% of my renewal clients get the new version. One client we had to go back and delete the app, when we restarted, she got the new version, kinda takes you back having to do both versions.

I have seen it twice and both times got an error and it switched back to the old.
