See a lot of this kind of stuff tacked on recently written policies.

How many of you guys push ADB on the typical FE client ?

I only do if they're regularly in a situation where they'd need it (taking lots of public transportation, travel, etc). Don't see a use for it for most folks tbh.

Build value in it when the carrier offers it, many don't in my state.

Americo

I can't remember the last time I added it on. Been years. Some agents see value in gimmicks, some don't.

I write on children, younger folks,if they work in a dangerous environment.

Saw one added on a 76 year old country grandma that sticks around her house with a chihuahua.

Written by a North American Senior Benefits agent, seemed unnecessary, just an add on for about $5 a month.

Ends at age 80,right ?

Americo, Omaha, and Foresters do not drop the ADR at X age. I'm sure a good salesman can sway a prospect either way on ADR. Child apps, Child riders, ADR, etc. plenty of decent add ons that over time can benefit people and increase your income.

With the right person, an ADB along with a grandchild rider can bring lots of value and will feel like a family policy.

I rarely do it, but the ones I do sell tend to stick!

So tacking on another $5 a month for the case described is in the best interest of the client ?

That's $60 a year,right ?

In this particular case is it better for grandma to have ADB or could she use the $60 for something else, maybe even paying a premium ?

NASB agents do it all the time. The ones in my area only sell carriers that have ADB riders attached.

They will replace policies using ADB as the main selling point, even at a higher price point.

I can see adding it on at the beginning, but using it as a replacement tool at a higher price is dirty pool IMO.

But the hardest polices to replace are the ones that have child/gchild riders attached.

If you have your choice to include these riders you truly don't? If you can pay for your gas a week with 1-2 grandchild apps with little extra work, you don't?
