Afternoon Appointments

One caveat, to what I said earlier, is if they have a legit reason for a PM appt. like a real job (compared to I help my brother in law sometimes), then it's okay with me. If it's a factory worker (my personal favorite in this market) I will schedule any time for them.

I was referring mainly to these people that have no sense of time, direction, etc, and I know that this does vary by region. In this area they're either drunk or fishing by the mid afternoon, if not working full time.

Maybe they're drunk AND fishing. One of my favorite hobbies btw.

I'm either going to be done at 4 to avoid traffic or done past 6:30 to avoid traffic. No way in hell I'm positioning myself to wrap up a FE appointment between 4:30-6(ish) and getting on the highway. I'm happy to book a back to back in close proximity cause the traffic won't be an issue, but these days nothing will get me on that highway during the busy hours.

So what your saying is.....North Carolina Hill folk are not as smart as JD's Kentucky Hill folk.

Now that is a first.

:D:D:D

Over the past 2 months I have been working in Saginaw mostly on Thursday and Friday. Thursdays have been great most of them have been 5 policy days but Fridays seem to suck. Missed appointments, calls to postpone etc.

I should have been working Wed and Thursday but my Tues golf night sometimes goes pretty late and its hard to get up in the morning to make 10am appointments 2 hours away.

Mornings or afternoons make no difference to me.

Fridays are a waste of time for me after 1pm. Mostly because I'm golfing at that time but I have had more no shows on Friday than any other day.

I see no difference moring or afternoon. My latest scheduled appointment is 4:30 unless there is a reason to go later. First in the am is 9:30 or 10:00.

I don't get no showed a lot but when I have it's been just as many am as pm.

But that's what makes this a great job. If we don't want to run afternoon appointments then we don't have to.

JD how do you deal with the folks that still work? If they work till 6pm, do you just trash the lead???

I can't even remember the last time that happened. But if they work and can only meet at a certain time and want to meet then of course I would make accommodations to meet.

Those are the exceptions to the rule. Just like weekends. As a rule I don't run appointments on weekends. But I recently met with an over the road trucker on a Sunday because that's the only day of the week he's home.

Can't build a business on exceptions though.

Ok must be a different demographic here. I would say 25% of my leads still work during the days, but those are the younger crowd.

Almost all of my Friday appointments are no shows. Most probably forgot anyway, but I am sure that there are a few that wonder why I never showed up .
