Read the book. I really never like to read I read that book on Me Stone very interesting and it kind of tought me a lot but I've been doing this for 35 years and have over 3500 clients I basically know everybody in the areas I go to

I have been doing this a while also. How do you keep up with referrals, service, and still have time to keep that schedule? I do not know how many clients I have but it gets pretty busy at times.

How many leads do you buy a month ?
Sounds like a good system.

I get around 40 leads a month and get net quote leads also. I have 3 companies but only use two. No MIB, No Script. Just a 3 min. Phone interview. I also have agents who do Med. adv. and get leads from them. And I am a sales rep for a major home security company.

I found this, its their discovery tool that acts like a survey.

They have a similar tool in the worksite division. It works like a charm.

For those that have never worked for Combined, could you outline the "system that never fails"?

It's more of a philosophy that started with Andrew Carnegie mentoring Napoleon Hill. Carnegie, the steel billionaire, offered a 20 year job to Hill. But with no pay. Hill accepted the offer and later became a multi millionaire.

If this intrigues you, get "The Science of Personal Acheivement" by Napoleon Hill. It's like 4 or 5 bucks for the audio on iTunes. Hill is a great story teller, very enjoyable to listen to.

How old was Hill when Carnegie offered him that 20 year old job?:twitchy:

I will start knocking on doors for people who are between the ages 50-65 around 9am. 66 and older, around 10am. Also, usually I will not knock on doors of 70+ past 5pm.
Just a suggestion. After many weeks of knocking on doors where no one was home, I changed my strategy. I work my 66+ leads from 9-5 and work my 55-65 in the evenings and all day Saturday. Much better response!

I do the same thing. I don't like to call first but I find it better with folks that still work. They seem more receptive if you call ahead. I still door knock most of them but that gets me an appointment half the time.

It's like American pickers. Free surfing and searching for a potential house to DK.
(Just give me an average house in a blue collar neighborhood that is well kept up.)

I just can't seem to find the motivation to DK all day.

I like aged mailed leads, fresh telemarketing leads, and setting apts over cold DK. I do go on aged leads cold and some new fresh leads when I can't get them on the phone.
