Agents Who Doorknock

It's like American pickers. Free surfing and searching for a potential house to DK.
(Just give me an average house in a blue collar neighborhood that is well kept up.)


I just can't seem to find the motivation to DK all day.


I like aged mailed leads, fresh telemarketing leads, and setting apts over cold DK. I do go on aged leads cold and some new fresh leads when I can't get them on the phone.

Where do you get aged DM leads?
 
Deadhead,is this done with aged leads ? Cold door knocking ? Please help me understand.
 
Is dorknocking really effective?

It is very effective. It is time consuming and can be frustrating but I believe in it whole heartily.

I have had great success so it's easy for me to believe in it. Last week of August I wrote $9300 I'm FE and 2 med supps. All door knocking. My wrist month this year was a miserable $2500.

I also would say that 10% of my sales would have not allowed me to set an appointment. Only about 1% if the people are totally turned off by you knocking on their door. Some will ask you to come another time.

That said, I am horrible in the phone so it just works for me. When I used to set appointments over the phone I got a lot of no shows.

The good thing about door knocking is you will find out as soon as you make contact if got a live one. You gotta go out there anyways if your gonna write them up,being persistent is a good thing.
Anything else is being lazy.
 
Wow. I'm blown away by that. As a newby it's been extremely frustrating for me. How many times do you have to hit a door? Most of my leads, even from age 50 to 80 never seem to be home. I can run a set of 15 leads in 4.5 hours. The breakdown is roughly 10 no-answers, 3 'wife musta sent this in & she's not here' or 'you need to talk to my husband & he's not here', and 2 who say, 'life insurance? Oh, we have that. I thought this was something else!' (The lead card is vague & references a 'state approved' plan to cover your entire funeral cost.) Glad it's working for someone.
