Wow. I'm blown away by that. As a newby it's been extremely frustrating for me. How many times do you have to hit a door? Most of my leads, even from age 50 to 80 never seem to be home. I can run a set of 15 leads in 4.5 hours. The breakdown is roughly 10 no-answers, 3 'wife musta sent this in & she's not here' or 'you need to talk to my husband & he's not here', and 2 who say, 'life insurance? Oh, we have that. I thought this was something else!' (The lead card is vague & references a 'state approved' plan to cover your entire funeral cost.) Glad it's working for someone.
Maybe 15-20 doors per sale of you pick the right neighborhood and if you don't suck. That's my experience. I don't door knock on the summer because you end up looking pretty rough after a while.
It won't work at all if you aren't a little bit funny.
Door knocking lead cards. Yep. Very frustrating. Believe it or not, I think that works better if they're a month or more old. Fresh cards work better if you set appointments.
I've recently v been working TM leads and I can't even begin to explain how much better they work for me. I have appointments set. Sell about 35% of them. There is a big problem though. They trickle in slowly. Some folks say they have to be worked within 24 hours. I have not found that to be the case. I have saved them up for a week and a half and saw no difference in closing ratio.
