It is not "where I am", it is the companies that are getting away from using the term "debit".. The only ones that use that term anymore are old rascals who are either too senile or stubborn to adapt.. :twitchy:

I actually consistently call what I do a home service agency. I agree with the companies in trying to adopt more dignified, professional terminology. Among other life insurance agents, the term "debit" unfortunately carries some negative connotations, as though "debit" companies, policies, and agents are somehow inferior.

I'm proud of what we do, especially when I deliver a check to a lower income family who didn't have to decide between having a funeral for Daddy or keeping their electricity on!

There is certainly no reason to look down upon the home service agent.. They provide a service that even the FE agents do not provide and because of it, many people have coverage that otherwise would die uninsured..
