Anyone Hear of Lincoln Heritage Life?

This is a great company. If you want advances there is no one that issues them quicker, their underwriting is consistent. They are a bit higher but they will write coverages others will not.

If an agent is complaining about Lincoln he probably owes them money and has left or been fired. They are not my primary company but they are honorable and reputable people.

Amen to that!

Amen to that!

He is right. Lincoln is the BEST, they started the burial insurance/ FE business and hit the streets with their awesome product in the 50's, actually my grandfather was the first agent in the world to pound the streets with this well priced product.
Lincoln Rules!!

OOPS sorry I got confused with some other guy on here and didn't want to verify anything, I didn't have the time.

Lincoln Heritage SUCKS...

I've written for them for 11+ years. A couple of notes for you:

_Premiums are higher than the ave., but their underwriting is more liberal than the ave.

_You can call the home office on Sat. and people are there helping agents who call in.

_They insure people younger than 45 years old who have serious health problems that other Co.'s won't even talk to.

_Someone on this forum said, a few months ago, that LH writes more FE production than any other Co. in the US. I can't verify the accuracy of this statement.

_Chargebacks do NOT come from advanced comm. like most other Co.'s.

_Your success will be dependent on you and also on your mgr. There's good mgr.s and lousy mgr.s.

Really good points here, this should clear the ground. Especially on the managers, I feel many get there license and told to hit the pavement, correct training the first time will ultimately make the largest difference. Obviously, some have a natural gift, others do not. Also reading some good sales books never hurts.

Thanks for all the feedback! I've never had any trouble with them yet, but do not plan on acruing a high debit balance either. I just want a fair company where I keep what I earn. I'm still a little confused on how the managers could keep an agent's renewals once they have met the two year vesting period with the company, regardless of the $$renewals earned. Seems like they could get into trouble for this if it's not written into a signed agreement. All the same, I've had nothing but positive experiences with them thus far and have no reason to expect otherwise.

I never had a debit balance with them It's the LH way to try and say that the only people dissing them are ones that owed them money. The only money owed between me and LH was them owing me.

Maybe the manager does keep the renewals once below $250. LH told me directly that they keep it. My friend that I mentioned earlier does not have a debit balkance with them nor has he ever. He called LH yesterday to see about this $250 since he couldn't find it in his contract either. They told him that he would not be paid once his renewal business got below $250/month. He is around $400 now.

He also said that they told him that they keep it. He asked them if it went to the manager and they told him it did not.

Are they telling the truth??

I'm glad that you are happy with LH. I wish you were here in my area selling it. Some lessons just have to be learned, they cannot be taught. I do wish that I had been warned in advance. Three years ago I was singing the praises of LH. If they have archives here you can go back and see that.

There was another agent on here singing their praises as well. He is more against them now than I am. if you want to believe that I was just the victim of a rogue manager, go right ahead. That manager is still with them and has been for almost 20 years.

I have seen the light. I admit to being a slow learner. I really should count my losses to them as a donation to a worthy cause. I will try to do better from now on.

I did say I wished he was selling LH in my area. Such a fine company. I hope Newby and Xrac pick them up.
