Appointment Setter Recommendations

For real, give it up. No real producer has ever experienced what you repeat day in and day out.

The qualifying noun in that sentence is PRODUCER.

Then I don't know what we're arguing about. It takes more leads to sell the same AP if you are using an appointment setter. That will lower your PPL.

Duds you must be mentally handicapped? This is about appt setter which i have no contol over.# maybe you need some pills

OK you win! You're the only one that knows what you're talking about and everybody else are morons.

My $0.02 - (which is actually worth $0.01 ;) )

I have used 3 different appointment setters on different occasions and none of them set as well as I could for myself.

I think JD may have mentioned this before because I know he sets for himself, there is something you can hear when you are setting.

You can get an idea of what to expect. I'm not saying you can know exactly how an appointment is going to go every time, but you can start to get a feel for it.

I think some of you are confusing "premium per lead" (PPL) with "premium per hour worked" (PPH).

Some appt. setters can make ppl higher and some can make ppl lower. Depends on the appt. setter's appointment setting ability in relation to the agent's appointment setting ability.

If appt. setter sets more appt's than agent can with the same # of leads then ppl will be higher if everything else stays constant.

If appt. setter sets less appt's than agent can with the same # of leads then ppl will be lower if everything else stays constant.

Using an appt. setter can either increase or decrease your PPL.

What an appt. setter does do is increase your PPH (premium per hour worked). Means your time is spent doing presentations only rather than doing presentations and making phone calls for an appointment to do the presentation.

The extra expense to have a good or great appointment setter is more than compensated by the increase in commissions you will gain.

NOTE: This only holds true for agents who have at least a decent presentation with some experience under their belt. If you are a FE rookie you are better to off to skip the appointment setter and go door knock the people, get some experience like Agent5 did, then graduate to using an appointment setter. That's because the appt. setter doesn't make the sale happen, they only make the appt. happen. YOU and you alone make the sale happen.

Yes almost everybody gets what you're saying...
