Because of ham and uncooked bacon?

Last night I stopped at a Buc-ee's station. (Texans know what I'm talking about! But for you easterners, it's a Wawa on steroids. A convenience store the size of a Walmart filled with many tasty proprietary wonders!) While there, I picked up some fresh jerky along with a half-pound link of venison/pork sausage. I sampled both before buying, and they were delicious! I didn't think about checking ingredients. But when I got home, I noticed sodium nitrite on the sausage label, and MSG in the jerky. I usually avoid both of those if I can, but most commercially available pork products contain nitrite (It's actually what turns it pink, I'm told) to fight off botulism. What's your opinion of these "natural" substances?Found a fly in the ointment the other day. Doc said pork can be very bad for you because pigs don't sweat which often leaves the meet full of toxins.
Please don't shoot the messenger... he's dealing with bronchitis and is on meds.
And I'll still be eating pork.
I was thinking human females.Because of ham and uncooked bacon?
