That might be how Shannon runs things but EFES as a whole don't make you cancel contracts although they encourage you to place your business with their carriers if you don't switch them over.

This is what the forum is all about the exchange of idea's and experience's. Not attacks. I don't know Shanon, but he seems to have a good reputation. The OP is in need of direction, This business is not easy, He needs to go captive as another poster suggested, or go with LH,or NAA. Where their is a lot of hand holding. JD as you stated you even had trouble in the begining. LH has a place, and this maybe the OP, way to go. He needs the rah! rah!. I personally can't stomach the rah! rah!, Just show me the money.

I released an agent to Shannon once and he actually called to thank me for that. We had a nice conversation and I thought he was quite the stand up guy for doing that.
During our conversation, I did mention that I would like the same courtesy in return and he fully agreed. It wasn't 3 weeks later that an agent wanted to switch over to me and Shannon refused it. He wouldn't even return the agent's calls or emails.
From that and a few other things that I've "heard" from various sources, I have my own thoughts about Shannon now.

The OP should start door knocking, he is probably, calling and not getting any answers, or getting the i am not interested click. I was getting the same results, burning though those leads. Then i started door knocking, out of financial need. mine. It works, and the notices work too. Sometimes it is hard to motivate myself, but then i reach in my pocket, and pull out the lint. or jump on the forum, and read, like now to charge my batteries. Off to the doors i go!
You are always saying what EFES does for you, etc, etc, etc.... have you ever thought, Jdeasy, that perhaps the program has changed? While you may think you are advising this entire forum you actually may be misinforming them.
I work with EFES and I know for a fact they do make you cancel contracts with other carriers. I know this hasn't always been the case though.

Since I'm still with EFES and still have not been told to cancel any contracts it is not a change. Possibly some uplines at EFES do require that.
Nor am I advising anyone of anything. I share my experieces here at the forum and learn from others.
Is that crative enough for you?
