Best Days to Set Appointments

Several studies have shown Thursdays to be the best day statistically.

I guess my main point is go with a strategy and stick to it and keep good stats so when you change it up, you can compare.

My recent history had me calling from about Noon-9pm M-Fr and for about 4 hours on Saturday (10am-2pm) and that was purely power dialing without really measuring my day to day results.

Dialing strictly for FE, you would want to start and end earlier in the day I would think.

Mornings from 9-12 and Eve from 5:45-7:45 local time are the best times for calling for prospects. This is when my Live telemarketers call and get the best results. 5 hours per day on Monday and Tuesday will net 5-7 leads per day on average. Call within 24 hours of receiving lead to ensure a good appt that week on the fresh lead. Usually work appts on Wed-Fri.

We work a good script with good results. The devil is in the list. A good qualified list Ages 55-75 and income from 0-99k is pretty cheap to get.

We typically call Monday-Thursday 10am-12, 1-4pm, 6-8pm.

If you're booking your own, Call Monday for Tuesday and Wednesday and call Thursday to book for Friday and Saturday mornings.

Never book an appointment out more than two days unless you have a really good reason to believe they'll still be there. Call to confirm no less than two days ahead of it.

Thanks--what about Sunday's? What's your opinion?

Could not agree more. More than 2 days out is a waste of time. Preferably next day is the best.

Forget about Sunday's and calls after 8pm at night. You will get more angry people than prospects.

Saturday prospecting, especially in the fall, works well from 10a-1p.

Its more trial & error in your neck of the woods....because unlike whats referenced above, I do very well calling sunday early evenings. I will be making my calls tonite around 6:30pm here in Calif.

I was told 730 and 815 am because they are home but i would think everyone is rushing out the door to work it would not be good. second is 830 to 930 pm and saturday morning and sundays nights. Hope it helps

Always touch and go but I always met, for the most part, when they wanted to meet. If it's important enough for them to meet with you at a time and place that is not the "norm" perhaps they are more serious. I've met people on Saturday night at a restaurant and hate to say it...even on Sundays. If you write an app...it's worth it.

I couldn't disagree more with this. For me to go off my time to run appointments there must be a special reason and the person has to convince me that they are serious enough for me to change my schedule.

For example, an over the road trucker that's only home on the weekends. If he convinces me that he is serious I will go see him on Sat.

The ones that serious will work their schedule to meet with you. If they can't fit you into their schedule then they are not serious enough to fool with.

^This was a very hard lesson for me to learn. I was also going to see them at their convenience. I had to make myself say "no, I'm not going to be there Sat., I'm going to be there tomorrow". But, once I learned to take control of my schedule is when my business took off.

I thought that by law you can't call after 9PM???

I agree with what JD suggests, but I also consider the dollar amount when I break my routine, planned schedule to meet with someone. The bigger the monthly premium the more flexible I will be.

$25 a month will be on my terms

$75 a month gives me something to think about

$125 a month will be on their terms!

Since I don't do any qualifying up front I don't have any idea what the premium will be so that is not a consideration for me.
