BestInsurance.com is for Sale.

Maybe you are right. But you need to realize simple fact, that even reselling traffic through CJ, brings about $5K/year. So, even doing absolutely Zero on the thing, one will get $5K just in 1 year.

Commission Junction? (Sorry to derail your thread) but they have to be one of the biggest cons in affiliate marketing. Unless your doing SureHits and getting paid per click, I'd stay away from affiliate marketing networks like CJ.

I am not getting this.....the landing page has a ranking of 0...but has been indexed.....all sub pages are not indexed.....why would I buy this site for $5,000 or less.......

I have technical background, I'm first rate programmer, in past 5.5 years I worked on leads distribution systems in a finance industry. When I bought BestInsurance.com with thoughts that I will be able to collect and sell leads. And in fact, broad "best insurance" term, some people complained about, can work out quite well, if someone came over for "best car insurance" and once you got the lead, just offer "best home insurance" (by completing a few additional fields) offer "best health insurance", monitoring income level and health conditions you can offer "best life insurance" getting high quality leads. And so on, and so forth. But insurance companies aren't interested in small guys like me, they just don't buy anything from small companies. So I started with CJ, brokering traffic to insurance leads companies. It was interesting experience to watch their business practices applied to small affiliate companies. After that I started to do the SureHits. But it doesn't fit my needs either, because people come over to me for the best insurance. And what do they get? A list of nationwide outfits from annoying morning traffic radio commercials? Besides that when you resell the traffic, you are badly tied by the technical abilities of the buyer. Besides that insurance advertisers have NET30-NET45 terms. All of these factors make the whole thing much less attractive comparing to the other areas. In PDL I can have weekly payouts with NET1 term. So if my margin is 5% only, I put $50K in PPC on Monday, spend it by Sunday, I'm paid for the leads on next Monday, on Tuesday I put $50K back into PPC. So in a month I can make $6K-$8K out of $50K. What is the reason to keep the domain name and do the insurance traffic brokerage?

I actually believe that your site is worth a good buck.

However, why sell it? You've got the technical ability to make more money with the site than most of the people you might sell it to. So it is worth more to you than it is to almost anyone else on the forum.

Work on the site.

Learn a little more about SEO.

Add some other lines such as over 65 health and business insurance. (I can tell you where to sell those leads.)

You already knew most of the information that I PMed you with. Use that info.

Make the site more profitable and get a loan based on the income if necessary.

Then come back to the forum after 6 to 12 months with some money in your pocket.

At that time feel free to thank me for my advice and call the rest of the posters morons.
