Breaking - UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson shot and killed outside Manhattan Hilton hotel

Yeah, the only thing distinctive were the backpack, bicycle and maybe shoes. Which could be Red Herrings.

Likely if this was a hit that guy is a ghost. Or already in a hole. If a disgruntled client or husband they will be caught. Or eat their gun.

He was photographed at Starbucks right before the hit (and I'm sure he knew they'd have cameras) and then did this:

Straight out of a movie. Just go into the park and change. They'll probably find his backpack in the trash.

The DOJ investigation was over stifling competition and having a monopoly in certain markets. Hardly something that warrants a professional hit.

It very well could have been a professional hit. But the DOJ investigation being the reason, does not seem to make sense based on what I have read about it.
No, he, Hemsley and a few other's are accused of insider trading.

Now, if the murder implement had been a sharpened Ticonderoga #2, we'd have no doubt that we were dealing with a pro. Just sayin'...

Holy Crap there is a website dedicated to Memes on this murder.
It's Dark.
ie Good thing it was an emergency because Mt Sinai was actually removed from UHC network.I didn't realize Americans hate the Big Insurance companies this much!
Wow. Just wow.

The insider trading is based on the original DOJ investigation and lawsuit for antitrust violations, that was initiated this past spring.

Now, the firefighters pension fund is suing him and others for not disclosing the DOJ investigation. So is a teachers pension fund.

At the same time. Him and others were selling millions in stock because of the antitrust investigation. That is the insider trading violation. Its all based on the original DOJ investigation.

Either way. Not much there to hire a hitman over from what I can tell.

If it was someone other than the CEO, ok sure.
But who is the CEO going to rat out to make him at risk?

UHC has a claim denial rate of around 30%.

When you are dying and the company that is supposed to help save you, is the one that tries to kill you.... it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
