Royal Neighbors will take them with no issues, unless they are taking a heavy duty water pill like furosemide or lasix. If just HCTZ it is not a biggie. Feel free to PM me with any other questions, I am happy to help.

RNA and Foresters would be their best deal. Monumental would be a third choice, but only if they wanted to pay by credit card. Monumental's rates are too much higher than RNA's and Foresters' to be first choice.

Would they qualify for first day coverage or graded?

Do either of these companies let you know if they qualify after the phone interview?

About 5 years ago I did one with Monumental, attempted the telephone interview, was a big hassle, nobody answered the phone, they finally called after I was gone. I turned in the app. and 2 weeks later I was notified it was a decline. That was the last I did with them.

RNA has a know before you go telephone interview which while time consuming is not terrible. Both Jdeasy and I know a guy in southern California that can help you with RNA, or if you need contracts, I can help you on either Foresters or RNA, at higher than most will give. Let me know.

barring anything you didn't mention about their health here they would qualify for immediate coverage with all three. Bot RNA and Foresters have a POS interview and you on the spot if they are approved.

Monumental does not have a POS interview now. They are more liberal than both RNA and Foresters on their underwriting, but it will take a couple of days to have the answer. I wrote a Monumental Tues of this week on a 85 year old lady with a few health issues. It was approved on Thurs.

The RNA POS interview is a real PIA. RNA used to be my "go to" company. They are not anymore just because of that POS process and their refusal to make it better.

How long does RNA take versus Foresters?

I'd prefer a real nice and easy process.

Thanks!

They both take 10 to 12 minutes on the phone. RNA's is just such a pain because of the way they ask for the medicines. I usually give the meds so that the senior won't have to stumble through it. That means you have to pass the phone back and forth a few times because they won't take the meds from the agent at the beginning of the call.

It's hard to describe how messy it is unless you do one. Especially when you do a husband and wife. They treat it as two complete separate interviews. They can't/won't save any info like address, phone number, etc.

Doing both with RNA will take twice the time. Doing both with Foresters will take about 1/3 more time.

Do both with Monumental and you don't have to do the POS at all.

You don't have to do the POS with RNA. If you don't do it they will call them after you send in the app. It's really a mess to do it that way. You absolutely have to the Foresters interview at POS.

What does Monumental do to underwrite?

What if this guy turns out to be 5'-3", 350 lbs., is that still acceptable? (hard to imagine and still moving around)

None of those three underwrite for build. RNA and Monumental don't even ask. There is no place on the app for ht/wt.

Foresters does have it on the app, but they don't use. Word is that they are going to come out with a build chart, but they have not as of today.
