CA Mr. 62 & Mrs. 63 -Diabetic II & Heavy-Who is Best?

None of those three underwrite for build. RNA and Monumental don't even ask. There is no place on the app for ht/wt.

Foresters does have it on the app, but they don't use. Word is that they are going to come out with a build chart, but they have not as of today.

Thats a relief!

Thank you!

Ditto. on Monumental. For ease of use that is the Company I would recommend.

Foresters will get picky on Meds though depends on what is being taken.

Is Monumental easier than than before?

If so, what makes them easier? (no phone interview?)

5 years ago they were a disaster for me, from the phone interview company they used to telling me 2 weeks late the person was declined. They seemed to have very little respect for my time back then. The process should be quick and easy, IMO.

How much more are their rates than the others mentioned?

Like I said I used them 5 years ago and it was a disaster, from the phone interview company they used to telling me 2 weeks late the person was declined. They seemed to have very little respect for my time back then.

No phone interview in the house. They will call if something irregular shows up when they do the Rx profile and pull the MIB. I personally think RNA is still your best options because of price, but Monumental is easy

I guess it all depends on situation. At this point just trying to add a few extra sales without sinking in too much extra time.

That being said, worst scenario is not knowing a decline while still in house and can do something about it IMO. Then you really waste time by having to go back or not.

I didn't write Monumental when they had a POS interview so I can't say how it's different. They are very easy to deal with now. That's all I know about them. They have really good rates for the older ages. That 85 year old lady that I wrote this week would have probably been approved with RNA, Foresters and Americo as well. I would have actually liked to have a POS in her case because it was a replacement and I would like to know right then to help her cancel her other policy. Monumental had the best rates for her by quite a good margin.

In the current case for you I would go with RNA since you want to know. Their POS interview is brutal, but they have great rates and you wil get an answer right on the spot and the policy number.

If you haven't done RNA it takes a while to get a feel for what they will give problems about. Read over the questions carefully and if you have a doubt about the answer to a question do not use RNA.

Go over their meds with a fine tooth comb. Even meds they are not currently taking, but have taken in the last two years. If furosemeid or lasix is in the mix do not bother with RNA. Those meds are an automatic decline. HCTZ is OK. Plavix is OK. Even coumadin is accepable. If you don't have RNA's RX list, get one.

Unlike Foresters or Minumental you have to list every medicine on the RNA application and their doctor and their most recent visit to that doctor. You also have to go over every medicine on the POS interview and what it's used for.

The rates are close enough between Foresters and RNA that you could just use Foresters if you want an answer right now and don't want to have to fool with all of RNA's red tape. The member benefits for the clients are much better with RNA than Foresters.

Great info!

Another thing is I have an appointment scheduled Monday AM with them. Do I need to be contracted already or can I submit along with application?

Something tell me it needs to be done before or they won't do telephone interview. At least thats what Oxford's policy was.

Also any riders, terminal illness, nursing home (monumental used to have I believe)?

Thanks!

I don't know if your state is a pre appointment state or not. You need to check with those carriers before ou go see the people. You do have to give your agent number at the POS with Foresters and RNA. I don't know if you could say "pending" or not.

Monumental still has the riders. RNA has the ABR. I'm not sure on Foresters.

Found out the Male smokes ocassionally.

He said he wanted $10,000 to $15,000 death benefit per spouse.

Who would have best rates for male smoker, diabetic type 2, HBP ?

With Monumental Male 62, Preferred tobacco, per $1,000 would be 71.93.
