CA Mr. 62 & Mrs. 63 -Diabetic II & Heavy-Who is Best?

Found out the Male smokes ocassionally.

He said he wanted $10,000 to $15,000 death benefit per spouse.

Who would have best rates for male smoker, diabetic type 2, HBP ?

With Monumental Male 62, Preferred tobacco, per $1,000 would be 71.93.

I find Americo to have the best smoker rates for males on average, but in this case they are only a dollar or so less than Monumental for $10,000. You certainly don't want to use RNA for him.

Does he smoke cigarettes or a pipe or cigar? Americo is non tobacco for pipe, cigar and smokeless tobacco users.

AmCon also has pretty good tobacco rates, but I don't believe they are available in Ca.

He is a smoker with everyone if he uses cigarettes. There is an agent in Ca. on our friday calls and he says he doesn't have American Continental available. I was just going by that. Maybe it is?

Am Con isn't available in CA yet. The last update they did on the product availability list was 9-1-11.

How did you get preferred?

On the app. Part B3, Question 7b.- It asks if Insulin in last 2 years. If anything is "yes" then its standard issue.

They both take 10 to 12 minutes on the phone. RNA's is just such a pain because of the way they ask for the medicines. I usually give the meds so that the senior won't have to stumble through it. That means you have to pass the phone back and forth a few times because they won't take the meds from the agent at the beginning of the call.

It's hard to describe how messy it is unless you do one. Especially when you do a husband and wife. They treat it as two complete separate interviews. They can't/won't save any info like address, phone number, etc.

Doing both with RNA will take twice the time. Doing both with Foresters will take about 1/3 more time.

Do both with Monumental and you don't have to do the POS at all.

You don't have to do the POS with RNA. If you don't do it they will call them after you send in the app. It's really a mess to do it that way. You absolutely have to the Foresters interview at POS.

JD, you seem to prefer Monumental over RNA and Foresters. I will be working some in rural parts of Mississippi (an RNA state). Would you recommend getting appointed with RNA?

Absolutely. RNA is a very good company to have. Their rates for non smokers are rarely best and the member benefits are outstanding. They have just come up with a lot of business prevention rules lately and thay have frustrated me with those.

I like Monumental and Americo because they have a POS interview. I don't like those with any company.

I would still prefer to write RNA. They just don't seem to want to be the first choice.

I particular like the idea of knowing before I walk out the door if I have a deal or not with "A" company or "B". Especially if the client is more than an hour away.

BTW, My wife just walked by and asked me "hunny, what are you doing on your computer this thanksgiving morning"?

I truly believe this is a fix to my addiction of trying to know everything about this business.
