Seriously? I was embellishing when I said 1 billion. But the quality control measure on the old product was the fact that it was burdensome to sell and get business issued. They were never going to make that easy to sell considering how liberal it was and how fast their distribution is.

Safe to say this product should be essentially dead to us and we should be spending more time talking about what we're replacing them with.

A company as big as Transamerica needs a pain in the ass FE division like it needs a hole in the head. If this new product doesn't bring sufficient margins, they'll shut it down for good..
Maybe time look to smaller outfits like KSKJ (I'm not appointed) that want and need your business. Trans don't care anymore, maybe you shouldn't either.

They're not going to spend $1 billion to release new product only to stop selling it. But they clearly want less business and a healthier more reliable applicant.

Trans was my go to for years. I rarely had any of the amendment issues because I knew how to fill out the app correctly.

We contracted every new agent with trans.

I stopped doing that as of last week :/

Along with a notice to our agents to stop writing Trans effective immediately until further notice.

You can't even quote the stupid product or run an eapp 75% of the time.

You know who I really feel bad for? The captive trans agents. I sell Calendar Leads - The Leads That Schedule Themselves to tons of those folks.

I don't know what they're gonna do.
