Their agent guide clearly says modified. Just because you get clients to lie does not mean it's a sanctioned action.

Not one of your neuropathy clients will have a paid claim if they die in the first 2 years.

Not sure how you sleep at night doing business like that.
 
A company as big as Transamerica needs a pain in the ass FE division like it needs a hole in the head. If this new product doesn't bring sufficient margins, they'll shut it down for good..
Maybe time look to smaller outfits like KSKJ (I'm not appointed) that want and need your business. Trans don't care anymore, maybe you shouldn't either.:idea:
Trans is so big, I think their HO culture is the agents can't do without us. Would not be the first company to make that mistake.
 
If it costs them $1 Billion to issue a product they know will die on the vine to save them $5 Billion over the next 10 years they would. Wouldn't be the first company to spend a billion to save two billion, would it?

Also unlikely that this product design and rollout cost them a billion dollars. I'm sure that the cost was not insignificant. But a Billion is 1000 millions and I doubt any FE company has spent $1000 Million dollars designing and rolling out their FE product, do you?
Definitely was an exaggeration on his behalf, but I think they did spend a substantial amount and blundered their product. Sad day! It was once a carrier I led with
 
I called Trans and talked to an underwriter today . Paper app has no supplemental page for rx's . I don't think e app does either . He acted like there's little human intervention in determining preferred, standard or graded . He said they were killed with claims with no height and weight. There basically 100% history outside of copd direct express .
