captive to independent /need advise

i am contracted with lincoln heritage they are like all others have their pros and cons i have never looked into voter registration lists looks to me like you would get all ages and i am targeting to just seniors and also the numbers would not be do not call compliant i may be missing something here but for 10 cents per name numer and address to stay legal is well worth it and one med supp sale will pay for it where as you would need maybe 3-4 med supp sales to pay for a 1000 peice direct mail campaign and you would need a hundred sales to pay a do not call fine so my advice is do what u want just stay legal and ethical

You use the voters reg list with people who are 65 and older. Best of all the ones that are just turning 65 for med supps. They can separate it out for you like that, by birth date.

***** NO LIST is do not call compliant!!! *****

You need to call using Gryphon or some such that scrubs real time as you dial or you will be in big trouble FAST. I used a "scrubbed" list last week. I made 1200 dials from it. Gryphon stopped potential fines of just over half a million. Separate the list by street etc. If they are on the do not call list go knock on the door after you have called others and actually got them on the phone. Stop by, as you just happened to be in the neighborhood and drop your card in person.

"my advice is do what u want just stay legal and ethical"

That is a rhetorical statement & I wasn’t asking for your advice.

As for Lincoln Heritage, of course they have pros and cons … have you looked into the TV leads? If not give a few a try.

Lincoln National ...You pay for the lead, use Lincoln if it fits i.e. borderline adverse selection, otherwise provide the best product / company for the clients needs.

Not a prob and I hope it helps you.

I’m in a new area myself. This is what I’m in the process of doing. I’m very good with relational database management. I have proprietary CRS software but Act works just as well for the most part. I subscribe the Electronic Polk Directory. I have set minimum standards for what I require in a client and am downloading ALL the info by county, zip code, neighborhood, and street. All businesses will be in alphabetical order by profession.

I’m going to systematically take apart the entire town by neighborhood and profession street by street. Those on the do not call list I will knock on their door when I have an appointment on the street with a neighbor. This system begins what some would call a drip campaign. Once the ball gets rolling the returns are huge.

Most of my clients take multiple contacts before I get ink on paper.

Back in the day when I was actively selling med supps I would get the voters reg list and call the ones that were just turning 65. I would call them or stop by and tell them I realize they have received tons of mail ( I didn’t send any but I knew others did, I would use their effort and expense to my advantage) about their med supps. I would explain that I’m a speacialist in senior products and that I’m going to stop by and go over the plans they have been offered & the appointment was at no cost or obligation & that I'm compensated by the Insurance company for the service.

VERY presumptive, very low cost & worked pretty good.
