Client Loyal to Old Agent

It may have made you feel better but other than that to get upset or call someone out over things like that is just a waste of time and resources that could be better used elsewhere.. However, I will have to admit to having done much the same thing in the past. :embarrassed:

It's a medicare supplement. What problem could she possibly have?

Good point. I was just thinking back to when this happened to me on an annuity sale she took my work to her other agent who said I can do that and wrote it....What was funny is since he used my work he even used my presentation fold and forgot to take my card out of it she had a problem and called the agent first and he told her she was screwed. Then she called me explained the problem I told her she could have her problem solved but I was not her agent and to call him to fix it. She said he couldn't I said sorry I am not your agent call the guy who got paid to service her.

It's been a while since I took the Sandler selling course, or read the books by Robert Ringer about different types of buyers.
They focus on the sales process; how to get commitment before we do all the "free consulting".

I am glad you are bringing these things to my attention. We can attempt to find something that brings pain to the person, intensify that, and get a commitment up front that they will work with us to fix the pain. I guess it works sometimes, and sometimes not.

Have an appointment later today where the client was referred to me by a strong influencer. Eligible for SEP, quitting benefits job, now doing small business full time. In my agency affiliation, I can refer them to our personal and commercial P&C specialists.

I am going to consider the commitment process, ask about likes/dislikes, etc. not just try to compete on price.
I think everyone here probably did all that, and, hey, win some, etc.
What I really appreciate is that gaining knowledge from agents posting here, sharing generously, makes me more confident.

I've already got a stack of letters like yours, I just don't send them out.

you should have done that replacement with free life insurance bowl of soup switch a roo. you'd have a nicer car too.

So she called me this morning. Surprisingly she not only appreciated the letter but I took applications on both she and her husband.

I didn't want to say anything but I send those letters all the time and it turns into a new client about 85% of the time. My letters usually mention the words ***, ***ing moron, and retard though...
