Climate Change

The elephant in the room that nobody talks about is population control. There's just too many people on the planet and it's only going to get worse.

In 2016 the global birth rate was 18.5 births per 1000 population and 7.8 deaths per 1000 population.

The number of people born is almost 2 1/2 times the number of people that die per year.

The planet's resources just aren't going to sustain that kind of population growth for very long.

No need to worry about population control..we've only got 11 years left.

I was thinking a century or two until extinction of homo sapiens. But your guess is as good as any and I may still be around to see it happen.

Ironically, homo sapiens is Latin for "rational man."

Wars have been a population control item for years. Not to mention the influenza incident of 1918 killing as many at 3% to 5% of the worlds population. The "Black Death" is also a reminder that mans fate can to succumb to the smallest of microbial influences.

I fear that only people who are lacking in historical truths believe that man will alter major shifts in the planets life span, neither science nor history support the hypothesis. However, individuals and groups have used fear just like this to effect great control of individuals to their whims.

I perhaps stand with a few who believe the new "Green" is a new veiled attempt to introduce the "Red". I could me wrong.

...but I don't think so.

You can certainly see climate change all around us. As to whether we humans have made this happen....I seriously doubt that we've done all of it. Either way, the earth has been going through climate shifts since there was a climate!

"During the early and mid-1800's, weather observation networks began to grow and expand across the United States. Although most basic meteorological instruments had existed for over 100 years, it was the telegraph that was largely responsible for the advancement of operational meteorology during the 19th century."

A great example of what I'm talking about is the little ice age. At that time there was way less people than there are today. Did we cause that too?.....nah!
