Cold Doors 2020 - Discussion Thread

I'm trying to catch everyone in the area for just a second or two, do you have a spot we can sit down?" Head down move forward. (Do not look them in the I when you say this, you will loose if you do.)

Do you have a spot we can sit down?" (Eyes down, move toward the door.)

Do you really think looking down at a time when earning their initial trust is so key, is better than looking them in the eye? Not to mention, it's easier to say no when the salesman is looking down.

Which comment at the end wino? I can't make out much of what is said.

The guy (I think) said they do not open the door for people they do not know. It has been a long time since I did any cold or warm door knocking. Back then it seemed that most people answered the door and phone. Today it seems not so much. Today's agents have it infinitely easier in many respects. Doors and telephones is not one of them.

I do not like the idea of the Ring doorbells because of privacy but like the idea of seeing and the option of talking to someone without opening the door. Caller ID at the doormat.

Ooops, just watched it. The piece I saw had the neighbor interviews.

Have you done much cold knocking? Just asking.

The way I mentioned is key to getting in. Looking at someone in the eye while trying to get into their house is a good way of spending most of your time knocking rather than sitting down.

et it and don't have any objection to what you said. Am I missing something?

Just responding to KRobby... never get into a stare down at the door... never works.

I think if you are working doors like I know you do, you are learning more and faster than most on the forum.

No doubt closing is king... you do that or you starve. But to me, if you can't get into the door of someone who didn't send a card in to see you, you just think your the cats meow.

OK... now I'm confused. Not sure what you where alluding to DayTimer?

I thought you thought I said something about your post, which I didn't. You say you were responding to knobby, so now it makes sense. He's on my ignore list so I don't see his posts, even if you quote him. So I was missing context.
