Cold Doors 2020 - Discussion Thread

Did not sound like the FE demographic.

Like I said, given his health he'll likely end up an FE policy holder. But there is a chance he gets approved, though highly rated at best.

I did some FE door knocking this morning and grabbed $1133 in AP. No setting any FE records bu a nice way to finish the week. eApp instant approval and everything on that one.

She is FE all the way and one with what I am finding is a very common story. She retired at 65 with $130K in her IRA. She spent it down at a rate of $1000/month and then $300/month and she is down to her last $300 at 72. She really could have used a good agent 7 years ago to set her up with an annuity.

She is getting $2000 net SS each month, so better than most FE types I have met.

She just moved into an apartment and is selling her home. She has no mortgage. I plan on following up with her. We did discuss whether she wanted what happened to her last nest egg to happen with this next one that the sale of her home will produce. She says no ... but we'll see how she feels when she has $200K+ in her checking account.

But if someone introduces himself, looking you in the eye, and then breaks eye contact to look down at his shuffling feet, you'd not have a trust issue, would you? You mean someone who flat out refuses to look you in the eye, right?
Yes, I mean afraid to make eye contact, especially at crucial points. I'm not suggesting you have eyes locked constantly.

Sometimes it's not good to have too much eye contact. You might make a woman feel uncomfortable or they might think you're trying to keep from staring at the huge wart on the end of their nose.

I don't do the Combined Shuffle and if somebody tried that at my door...they wouldn't get in.

$8,000.00 AP. Not a lot of those coming out of FE houses.

I'll tell you what though: I'm finding a lot of business among retirees who work part-time

Simplified Issue Whole Life v FE

I write a few of what the forum calls FE people. Dirt poor, uneducated and on the government tit. Mostly from referrals or from old orphan accounts. Not many as they seemed to be lapse and service prone. But I definitely do have some. I think I have one couple on DE and that was a favor for another client.

But I do write SIWL. Just Whole Life with risk tables built in. Not tied to income or lifestyle. There it is more about the Problem, Not the Price.

Same product just a different market.

Exactly what I think. And I'm pretty sure we're in the majority on this one. In fact, lifehawk and daytimer are first I've ever heard of to purposely look down when asking to come inside. Not surprising that they also suggest the foot shuffle :D:D

The Combined Shuffle works if you've done "The Wave" properly.
