I have the same question. Do the listed beneficiaries of the policy get owed the amount of the policy?

For a life policy, when the insured dies, then yes, the Beneficiary is owed the Death Benefit. In this case, up to the SGA limit.

An Annuity Beneficiary would be owed the Cash Value of the policy after the contract owner dies. Up to the SGA limit.

Watch your interest only payment for May. CBLife paid me again for all interest earned in my annuity since November 1, 2022. So I got double interest out of annuity. They told me to keep it, but assured me that the interest only amount in June will be done correctly. Lets hope not, the more they send out the better!
I wasn’t so lucky..just 1 month interest this time

Sorry to hear that they may finally might be doing it correctly. My payment date is the 10th, but didn't get the $ til the 19th. They said yeah we know about a problem with the payments on the 10th. I'm not really interested in the fact that they know it, just fix it and do things right, it can't be that hard.
I'm interested to see how many folks are taking the interest payments. Should be in the March rehabilitator report that will probably be online at the end of July.

CBLife etal sue lindberg for $1,000,000,000.00.
Does this mean that someday in the future, policyholders could conceivably receive money for damages in addition to whatever we would receive from the state guaranty associations and, for excess policyholders, whatever funds they succeed in recovering from Lindberg?

Also, if the State now has been given the go ahead to go after the money, is there still a need to liquidate? Couldn’t they decide instead to rehabilitate?
