Confession - Insurance "IS NOT" Sales . . .

I was gonna write a long post ala AL but I decided the following would suffice.

Tom, I think you're trying to strike it rich without paying your dues.

Almost without exception every successful manager and agency owner I know put in years as an individual rep. They build a book of business, became experts then decided to hire and train.

I do not personally know of an example of anyone who's successfully hiring agents or promoting a "program" or "system" without years of personal stats to back it up.

I personally feel...and this is just my impression that you have wet dreams of making hundreds of thousands a year while your "team" works for you.

And like Dr. Phil likes to say; "so how's that been working for you?"

You call that a bad beat Moon???? I won a 10k seat in the Caesars classic last October in Vegas. Almost 300 players. We're down to the final 5 tables. I'm dealt KK on the button, made a 1.5x the pot raise after one player already raised, flop comes K66, he raised pot, I went all in. Asshole flips AK so I'm golden in my mind. Nope, 6 on the turn, 6 on the river, his A kicker wins with the 4 of a kind. He went on to cash at 16th place. 1st place paid exactly 1 million.

lol. How long did that hurt for? Did it make you stop playing cards?

Like Moon, that is the worst bad beat story I have heard.

John - understandable.

However - someone doesn't need to "pay dues" or take years to get it. I understood insurance from day one. I thought I understood how to sell it from day one - but actually just learned it a few weeks ago.

I still say Insurance isn't rocket science. It's the "delivery" of the message and the "perception" of the receiver that makes the difference in whether or not someone becomes a client.

There are no dreams of making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year - that is already a reality. In the past I had went the "team agent" route - when in fact, those agents are really a pain in the ass ( don't worry - my guys already know they are ).

I make more money with less hassle just operating my own Call Center and showing others how to start their own Call Center.

I'll give an individual person a contract - but I don't train them, I don't motivate them and I don't support them - so, they might as well contact Mark R or Todd K.

I now only sell within my own personal Call Center and I charge $10k to $25k to someone that wants to start their own Call Center.

So - bash me if you wish. But we earn tremendous commissions and we have fun doing it. If it ain't easy - we don't do it . . .

I don't understand how Tom and Primerica haven't hooked up yet. It's a match made in heaven.
