That would have been approved with Americo and AmCon and even Foresters.

My first was Foresters, then looked at AmCon. Both would go graded because of the COPD being diagnosed around 15 months ago. I did not look at Americo because of my own issue but would like to be able to have a back up other than Assurity. I hate it when I only have one choice.

Most companies are okay with this situation. Just put down domestic partner. I think when Rick and Senior Advisor Indiana were doing their life insurances, they put down 'life partners'.

Actually Rick refers to me as his sugar daddy but we couldn't put that down on the app.

I am filling out the Americo application as we speak on the lady we have been speaking about with copd from 10 years ago, with no meds taken for it and insullen.

She is a lesbian and her partner is paying for the policy. What do I call her relationship to the insured, lover, partner, street lover, lesbian lover, domestic partner? They do have the same last name.

The payor is listed as the beneficiary. The insured takes care of the payors 3 children and 5 dogs and a cat.

Aint no civil unions here. Give it just a little time and it will be wife and wife. :swoon:

you want to hear something funny about this file. I was working in there area at about 5:30 yesterday and drove by to get the Americo app signed. Lesbian number one was getting ready for work. She works as a corrections officer at a maximum security prison. She is the bull. I asked her partner what she had planned for the evening and she said follow me. She took me into her bedroom and she had her computer hooked up to a large screen LCD tv. She told me she was going to be clubbin all night long with her friends.

On her tv screen was a bar with about 6 or 7 people dancing. They were figurines of her friends who were all at their respective homes signed in to the same web site. They were dancing and talking and all getting drunk. They call it clubin without going to the bar. the figurines were all made to look just like her friends. There was one there for her and it looked just like her.

btw thanks to all for your help with this policy. Its a decent payday and I appreciate all your input.

My mistake. I misread your post and thought was over 24 months.

My client got the MIB in the mail today. It state that she was diagnosed with COPD less than a year ago. She clims to me they diagnosed hwer with COPD over ten years ago, but that is not showing on the report. She swears up and down a year ago they prescribed Albuterol for her seasonal allergies.

I also spoke with Foresters and they said to send it in with an explanation and they would consider writing it graded. I am thinking graded is the best I can do for now. I can rewrite it in a year level I am assuming. If I write them graded with Foresters now and rewrite it in a year as a level, will they pay me commissions on the new policy? Or do I need to take it elsewhere to get paid twice?

Why not just write it level with Monumental now?

As for the commissions with Foresters on internal replacements I don't know how they handle that.

IIf I could get them bought level I would. But I was under the impression Mounumental and Americo will both see the same thing Foresters saw on the MIB, which states she had a COPD diagnosis within the last year. Also the insullen diagnosed before the age of 40 I was thining would cause a problem?

The client will pretty much take what I suggest. I am set up with Americo and Foresters right no so I prefer to get it bought asap with one fot them. And if I can get it set up for a rewrite next year to go level I am thinking of hitting a double rather than a single?

Correct me if I am wrong as this kind of thing is a little new to me. If I send them to Americo and replace it a year down the road is that considered a bad thing? Or does it depend on who I replace it with next year.

By rewriting it with a different company I am assuming I will get a new commision. If I stay with the same company and go from a graded to a level will they pay me again?

btw ty for your help and suggestions

I need to pay attention better. The COPD is not the problem with Monumental. They will do level for a person with COPD as long as not on oxygen. The problem with them is that she is aslo on insulin. That puts 2 questions answered yes in that section and that makes it graded with them.

Americo asks 2 years on lung type problem. They don't mention COPD specifically, but I'm sure they mean COPD inclusive of that question.

Internal replacements are handled differently by company. RNA, for instance, will pay a new commission on internal replacements. Americo, for instance, will not. Americo's rule is anything internally replaced within 4 years is not a new commission. If it's a higher premium they will pay you the difference. Never asked Foresters. I'm sure whatever rule they have it would be 10 times more complicated than anyone else's.

The rewrite to a different company is frowned upon. However, it is more frowned upon when an agent for example writes a Level with someone, then 13 months later shows up and explains to the client that he/she is a good fit for this new company you have. And move them to a new Level plan with a different company for a better rate. This is the definition of "churning " and is considered illegal.

With this situation, I think if you ask most agents, we have all done it at some point where it truly applies. Moving someone from a Graded or ROP in its first two years to a level plan with someone else is more then justified.

If you do an internal replacement. Foresters and most companies will only compensate if there is an increase in premium amount.

Only thing I am confused about is Foresters should not have a problem writing this lady graded regardless of what the COPD report says. Im not sure what their "decision" is. COPD only knocks you out for Level coverage. I dont know why they will only "consider" her for graded.

I don't blame you for wanting to get the case on the books right away.

Also keep in mind. The minute you write her Graded with Foresters you create another MIB hit on her for COPD. Another company a year later will see that... "12 months prior the proposed insured was rated due to COPD" A company does not see the details of a rated insured or declined insured. They only see general codes to give them a good idea. You will have a hard time explaining this to someone new. If you want to hit a double just explain to her in advance what you're going to do. Write Foresters graded. 12 months later write Monumental Standard. But as the point was made earlier. you can write Monumental right now. the 12 month wait is not needed.

So now if the state does an investigation into whether you churned this client for commissions they will ask you why you didnt do monumental from the beginning. You can say you didnt know monumental offered level. Just keep in mind... this forum you talk on is public... you're creating evidence... against yourself... and you can serve jail time for this kind of stuff... pay stiff penalties.... license revoked... force your home into foreclosure... and if you're still reading this, you need to stop... because Im just messing with you...sorta.
