That is not socialism... Capitalism would prompt the make of the G^ to create a good product if they want to stay in business.. You can last long killing of your repeat customers and scaring off your new ones. Corvair was a perfect example.. Once the so called deficiencies of the car were publicized, it was dead in the water long before government regulation would have killed it.Every society needs a balance of socialism and capitalism. Even ultra-capitalists are the consumer at some point. They may not be so capitalist if they discover their G6 at 35,000 feet used sub-standard wing components in order to maximize profitability. Everything depends on perspective.
What on earth are you talking about? What happens in a post-scarcity society as technology continues to progress exponentially? Does your precious, Randian capitalist hero pull himself up by his bootstraps to fabricate a redundant workday? Does he toil aimlessly at a menial task that can be done with 100 times the speed and precision by a machine? Work, and the idea that somehow everyone is obligated to do their "share" is quickly becoming obsolete, yet the spectre of the Puritan work ethic persists. So desperate, are we, to feel good about ourselves for putting in hours, however frivolous they may be while shaming those who lack ambition. So desperate that we invent thousands of non-jobs and treat them with importance, even though deep down we know it's a racket. Wake up, sheeple.
