Final Expense Phone Qualifying Is Working

"When I first got with EFES about 4 years ago they had some "dialer" leads. They sold them for $10 each and the person actually made a recording telling you who they were and the address and phone number. You could download the recording and play it back for them when they claimed they didn't respond, which most everyone did. They were terrible leads. I quit using them long before they discontinued the program."

The first company I worked for out of Detroit did nothing but press one leads. They were always tweaking the message being sent and that did have a lot to do with the quality of the leads. I have had good and bad as with just about anything. The leads I have received over the past 2+ years at PHR are some of the best leads I have ever worked. I think the key is to not work an area too long and to contact them asap.

It wasn't posted by Josh, it was posted by me. But, good that they work for you. That's why I was interested in the subject. I don't need them now but this business is fluid. I may have a need to try them one day. I'm glad that they can be gotten in a legal manner.

I did no such thing.

Newbie question here but how do you begin a mailer campaign? Looking to sell Final Expense here in North Florida and South Georgia.

Set aside $4000-$8000 you can comfortably lose, contact a major direct mail house like Main Street or Lead Connections Inc., Drop 2000-3000 week for 20-30 leads on average around $700-$1200 a week.

Main Street has a mailer that gets a 2% response rate that Securus uses (I used up here in TN) and you could use, too; Lead Connection's most popular, reordered piece gets 1.25% average response.

Basically, just commit to that $8000 to generate leads and pay off lead balances as you begin to get your advances.

You can also look into telemarketed leads -- you'll get response turnaround much quicker and won't have to invest nearly in generating the leads.

Wow that is quite the investment. Thanks for the detailed and honest answer though. But I guess if you get 20 good leads a week and close 80-90% of those than the weekly investment is well worth it.

...And get 6-month non-production restrictions, take a 30-point haircut on your first-year commissions and renewals, and potentially offer lower-quality products as opposed to have a depth of offerings.

You know you could just find a company that does all that for you and pay them $28 a lead. And have them finance it.

Close 80-90 percent, are you sure about that....You must of typed the wrong numbers, or had too many slushpuppies with alcohol......

You won't even talk to 80-90% of "those" never mind "close" them...

This more like it...

You would not need anywhere near that kind of investment.

If you need training and mentoring get with an IMO that offers that and buy their leads.

If you don't need that just get with the highest contracts you can find for the top FE companies out there and start mailing. It will cost you north of $400 for a 1000 piece mailer. The returns will vary widely by how the mailer is worded. The better FE agent you are the more generic the mailer can be as you need is an opportunity to talk to them.

If you need the mailer to do your work for you then you are definately in need of training and mentoring.

Do not under any circumstance get boxed in with only company to write as one poster had suggested to you.

As far as how many of the leads you will close more new agents close under 10% than ones that do over that. So, if you get a 1.5% return, {15 leads}, expect to write 1 or 2 applications. Very good agents close 20%. Excellent agents close 25%. The very best close 30% and the great ones are at 35%

Only you knwo which one of those categories you fall under.

This is a very tough business. People get into the FE field thinking it's easy money. It's not. FE is a simple product, but the FE market is not a simple market to master.
