Final Expense Telesales Tips - The Reboot!

It isn't just you. Just about every other vendor, marketer, recruiter, agency owner, agency builder, etc. who is here primarily to recruit, grow theirs or someone else's downline, sell leads, and generally just wants to find a way to make or take money from agents probably feels the same way that you do.

What all of you recruiter agency owner types miss is that this forum, for the regular working guy or gal, is not only a place to ask questions and learn a thing or two, but it is a place to swap stories, fool around, and unwind.

Years ago I was an auto mechanic at a large Lincon/Mercury dealer. Everyday after work all of us guys would head to the bar right at the other side of our lot, and we'd hang out for an hour or six. This place is a lot like that bar (although this one is BYOB). But the car dealer managers didn't hang out with us very often. And when they did, they dropped all pretense of being the boss and gave no hint of moral superiority. Compare that to just about every single one of you builder types with your frequent weak-kneed appeals to the moral high road.

It was a working man's bar. And this place is a lot like that for many of us: a working man's bar. And we look at the world differently from you. And y'all never tire of letting us know about it.

So, where someone like you, and more particularly some of the other recruiters who really have nothing invested here (note how they will often demean someone else by making reference to post count or post content). These recruiters/builder/vendors/ don't get it, they don't come by often enough to get to know us or learn the admittedly unwritten rules.

Marketers and Recruiters are, in the words of @jdeasy "company men." We don't expect company men to like us, much less care an iota to understand us. And some of y'all like talk smack about JD. I guarantee you every time you do - any of you - you drop a bit lower in the estimation of almost all of us here who know JD. There aren't many of us who wouldn't trade all of y'all to get JD back on this forum.

So, we get that you see little or no value in our shenanigans. But there are a bunch of us who find great value in hanging out, talking shop, shooting the $hit, and, yes, sometimes talking smack.

And for what it's worth, except for the terminally naive among us (and there are a few), we all, for the most part see right through the transparently obvious attempts to post "value-added" content for what it is - naked attempts to flush freash meat out into the open for your recruiting pitches. There are very few guys like @Rearden who truly posts consistently high-value content. He's been here for going on 10 years. He started as a working man and even as a builder we can all see he works his a$$ off. And when he does get called out for something by one of us lowly working stiffs, he rolls with it like a champ. He isn't a whiny little skeeter like some who drop by once a month and then wonder why they don't feel the love.

So no, it isn't just you who feel we offer nothing of value. But there are far more of us who feel very much the same way about all of you company men.

Well for me I always thought the insurance forum was for agents/mangers/recruiters to exchange and share ideas. That practice is dwindling because of a small group who like to launch verbal tirades/insults at the ones who are sharing.

I think if we took a poll you'd find the majority of the forum members would rather have this place be an insurance forum that did not have all the verbal insults that you see up here. They'd prefer to see a healthy exchange of ideas and answers to their question, etc. They'd prefer to see some professionalism too.

And if they wanted a bar's atmosphere they'd probably just go to a bar, rather than the insurance forum, wouldn't they?

Block the denigrators.

If enough people do that, this place might actually be enjoyable and serve its purpose.
