Final Expense Telesales

Who are the best FMO's? Can anyone tell me about RMG which is Roberts Marketing Group, Powell Agency, Hakim Insurance Marketing, National Senior Benefits and any others? This is a career change for me and I am very concerned about the costs of having a steady supply of leads, training and sucessful sales scripts. Any information about these firms or others would be most appreciated good or bad.

Create you own leads by telephone, creating your own mailers, etc. Don't let these guys talk you into spending money for leads, joining organizations, telemarketers, or any of the other crap. That is why they are here. This is where the bad guys lurk in the dark just waitng for a newbie like you to come by and BAM they have their hands in your pocket.

I will be glad to share with you what I do and things that I have done that worked and didn't work. Give me a call, I won't ask you to spend a dime, sign contracts, or anything else. Just give you advice and ideas.

Come up here to Raleigh, NC and spend 5 days w/ me. If I don't write 7k (all on the phone) I'll reimburse you your plane ticket and pay for your motel. And I'll use no more than 40 leads to do this.

I gotta say all the back and for with JD was kind of wearing me out but I think we've gotta give you a little credit for putting the challenge out there.

So Tom...you going to NC?

No, I can't. I've tried to see a level playing field for a while, and these aren't terms I can do.

But Tom....Scott is less than 2 hrs. from you I believe? Call him! Go see him! Go ask him! Ask him about the people and more I mentioned above who have super success with FE tele-sales. You asked for some numbers, pick up the phone at least and call him!!!!!

What do you mean by "see a level playing field"?

Or were you also just trying to stir the pot a little? How far is Albany, Ga. from you? Do you want the REAL numbers or inflated numbers on an internet forum?

Since you can't afford the trip maybe JDeasy would like to take me up on this offer. JDeasy....speak up!

Greg is on fire tonight.

I am new to FE, but I put my opinion in, when I read someone i.e. a rookie can make tons of money if they purchase leads, and spend a small fortune, before they understand the business fully. Even though it is not too difficult.
I am buying leads, I found a excellent general agent, with a basic lead program at a great price. He suggested I send out "ONE" mailing, see how it goes, and send another out when I am ready. The original mailing I received back 31, and I am still trying to contact half of them, sold 2-3, which is small closing percentage, but when all is said & done, I imagine I will sell 5-6 of the 31. A 15-20 pct close ratio. I always use real numbers.
I recently sent another batch out for May appointments:laugh:, and by June, I will be on auto pilot at 2 mailings per month.

I am competing with me, and I will be making 2-3K per week by June, and I was not sucked into this by some inflated numbers I see being thrown around on the forum.

Greg, If you haven't tried, but if you get the chance, point your dialer to the NYC/ NJ area.

Congratulations on tour success! Make sure you always ask your GA for tips, etc. when you need them, you can never learn EVERYTHING about this biz. The KEY is to know how to work the leads PROPERLY.

Thanks Greg, thats right, I learn a little from everyone. Mind you I have a solid background in sales, but I have an open mind to listen to new ideas.

I'm sure there are guys who are killing it over the phone, just as there are guys who are killing it face to face. Jdeasy is someone who is killing it, in my opinion. I see what he does on the leader boards, that's how I know he does well. I have trouble catching many of my leads at home. I think it would be hard trying to close an 80 year old over the phone. It's hard trying to do it while sitting in front of them. But I asked if anyone was willing to speak with me about this. Doesn't mean I'll be switching to phone sales. Just very curious about how those of you who are great at it, do it.
