For those of you using NORVAX...

Norvax vs. eHealth

Norvax, Inc. has announced the launch of their new consumer shopping website at gohealthinsurance
The new site will be a comprehensive resource center for online shoppers looking for individual health plans.

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/06/prweb535133.htm

I poked around in their site and found some misinformation. But hey, what the consumer doesn't know won't hurt them, right?

Does anybody know about Golden Rule's "Agency 30" contracts vs. the standard contract for key brokers?

I just got off the phone with an individual over at GR who told me that anybody outside of the Agency 30 system is not eligible for Producers Club, even though their website says otherwise.

J.R., the brochure they handed out at the seminar for the United Select Producers Club (USPC) states in fine print on the back cover "This program is only related to United Healthcare's ('UHC') Individual Line of Business. Norvax and UHC (including each of its affiliated companies ) are separate and distinct entitiies. UHC does not endorse Norvax or its products, and is not responsible for Norvax's performance. Hawaii trip will be provided by an independent travel arranger, and UHC is not responsible for that arranger's performance. Trip is subject to availability; other destinantions may be substituted solely at UHC' discretion. Trip is not all expenses paid. 1099's apply.

Please see www.unitedselectproducersclub.com for full program details. In most states coverage is underwritten by Golden Rule Insurance Company."

Note: Italics are mine. There is a 6 page application for USPC, but there is no mention of an "Agency 30" contract. An agent has to agree to a LIMITED INTERNET ADDENDUM TO INDPENDENT BROKER'S CONTRACT.

In a separate handout it states that if you submit 50 applications between 6/1/07 and 12/31/07 you and your guest amy be on your way to a Hawaiian beach getaway with all our winners. They also gave everyone a free lei I really wanted a lay.:D

BTW, J.R., who is that dude in your new avatar? He looks familiar.

Everything sounded good until they asked for $100. I thought it was a free thing. Am I missing something?

"We give you the qualified prospects. 10 free leads to start (valued at $100), then $30 in free leads for every issued application!"

I spoke with a guy over at GR today and he told me that they had a meeting "today" and one of the items of discussion entailed the fact that the broker service reps were told that the Producer Club is only available to agents who haven't written any deals and/or are under the Agency 30 contract AND are not key brokers.

Here's the funny thing, the person I spoke with did his best to weisel his way out of telling me anything about the Agency 30 contract, details on the trip because in his words, "I might not be eligible and I don't understand why you would want to know." Pissed me off to no end.

I haven't written any GR in the last 7 months, but apparently I'm ineligible because I have a key broker contract. WTF.........when did this happen because that is news to me! They say the program is to help new agents get off the ground and even though I'm new to being an independent that isn't new enough because I'm under a different contract and receive other incentives. I call BS on ridiculous business practices. The only incentive I was ever offered was a per app bonus back in the 1st 3 months of getting licensed that all new agents get.

I'm more concerned about the principle of things vs. the incentives so don't take it the wrong way! We shall see what the people over at GR have to say on Monday. As of right now they can kiss my 6 and until I get some answers to my questions.

I'm done venting........

P.S. The picture is of a guy named J.R. who lives in MD.
