For those of you using NORVAX...

Yes, I should have! Maybe that one lead will make me $100. But I felt a bit goofy calling them back when that link doesn't work any more and the rates were wrong anyhow.

Nice game last night Buddy.

I bit the bullet today and signed up for it. And although the $100 fee was not waived, they threw in an extra $100 of free leads (total of $200) since I am a Key Broker, whatever that is. It was instantaneous as I checked out the Norvax site.

Pretty interesting, I must say. I immediately emailed them to reduce the number of GR plans to two or three instead of all of them....Got my first lead (a young couple in Columbus), although the area code looked wrong. Unfortunately, Norvax zipped them a rate based on preferred ratings even though she was 5-2 190 and he was 5-11 220.

Anyway, that's my initial experience. Oh...one more thing. The Norvax site stopped working a few hours after I set it up. And then I got a call from Golden Rule. It seems that since I (we?) am a Key Broker, I am NOT eligible for the Norvax deal and they contacted Norvax to squelch everything and my $100 would be refunded. She explained that since our commissions are higher and this and that...this offer was not available.

Well...it was fun while it lasted.

Did the GR rep make mention of you being eligible for the bonuses and incentives? It sounds like they said you are not eligible for any of the incentives, but I want to make sure.

Key Brokers are not eligible for any of the incentive programs from GR, not just this one.

The smile & dial folks who work for places like HBD do not get to go to Hawaii and hob nob with the rest of us.

Free Norvax Lead - Question for Delfin

Delfin:

Occasionally you post a "free lead in XX". However, you have agents paying for either your website or prospect zone.

Why is it you'd rather give your leads away to a stranger than to support your own agents? This is just another reason to not use Norvax.

By the way, I still have a site with you that I must pay for until December but was able to stop the leads months ago. You are receiving money from me each and every month for (from my stanpoint) a worthless site, but you can't even give away a lead to a paying customer.

On behalf of all the current agents who work with you, thanks for nothing!

Rick

The free leads are just a way to get people interested in Prospect Zone leads. This is no different than HTQ (or any other lead provider) offering free leads to someone to draw attention to their lead service.

I'm sure in some cases, they don't fully 'sell' a lead, so by giving it away, they are staying in compliance with the number of agents they give the lead to, without really impacting their revenue (only 2 agents were buying leads in that area, with that filter type of thing), while getting some attention.

Actually, I think it's rather ingenious. Pass a few free California leads my way, maybe I'll use the service.... but then, maybe not.

The time commitments on the sites are killer.

Dan
