For those of you using NORVAX...

I am trying to decide if I should go with Norvax products so for those of you using them are you:

-Just using their "quoting software" or more products?
-Utilizing a website they generated and if so, how well do they "market" your site?
-If using Broker Office, what advantages does it offer (what does it include, i.e, website set up, etc)?

I can't decide if I should just buy the quoting software or have them set me up a website or do the Broker Office deal (which seems like it will result in lots of added cost after I start importing leads from various companies).

Any thoughts are appreciated!

58 views and no replies?? At some point I have to get some automated quote/proposal help so I need advice...someone, anyone..Bueller, Bueller, Frye?

I wish I could help you. I'm a P&C guy, so I wouldn't have the first clue on how to help you. I just didn't want you to feel lonely on this one, plus I can get my post count up! :)

Save yourself the $$ and skip it completely. Scan your plans into .pdf files. You're only sending 3 plans -tops. Just quote away verbally or plug the pricing in the email. Do an electronic app and get it done. K.I.S.S. all the way.

I've had Norvax for years, one of their first customers, so I'm paying next to nothing. People don't respond well to Norvax if you are buying shared leads. Their email box is slammed with crap as soon as they hit submit on the lead form. You're just another email in the sea of "Your Insurance Quote" emails.

This is kinda what I am thinking...plus I kinda like the personal attention(and apparently so do many of the customers) of sending the emails out individually. Maybe that will change as volume increases...we'll see.

Thanks!

It all depends on the amount of quotes you run and how you market yourself.

If you are marketing your website online you need something like NORVAX or QUOTIT.

If you are running 10 or more quotes a day you need Norvax or Quotit.

If you are not then save the money and put it into marketing.

PS. THEY DON'T MARKET YOUR WEBSITE.

I had Norvax. Changed to Quotit.

Use their quote engine, nothing else.

I don't send out automatic quotes or use their autoresponder to drip on clients. Have mixed emotions about that.

Instead, I use Constant Contact to keep in touch with folks until they opt out, buy or I just get tired of sending them stuff.

eHealth and most of the boiler room operations use Norvax which is another reason to consider Quotit. The Quotit layout is much more user friendly and doesn't look like everyone else's proposal.

I use Norvax for everything. I can send up to 4 quotes right from the lead from different companies with a personal message and the autoresponder stays in touch. The website I can customize and add material to. It gives me a presence for me to grow on. Their leads are as bad as everyone else except they take back unlimited junk. The individual market has become HIGHLY competitive with public companies operating boiler rooms (or as they prefer to call them 'call centers'.

The personal emails I sent out are more effective then the auto responders since everyone's using 'em - have also been following up using constant contact now for years - very effective.

I like the "keeping it real" emails - I get prospects calling me when I send this out if I can't get a hold of them:

Amy,

We have received your request for health insurance quotes. Although your phone is probably lighting up with a lot of agents calling, we would like to suggest that you simply take you time and realize there's probably no rush to get a plan immediately.

If you would like to see instant online quotes and view side-by-side plan comparisons we have a website where you can review all of your choices without an agent bugging you: Maryland Health Plans

While you review your choices we do have some very vital tips
  • Always deal with a local Maryland agent - out-of-state agents do not know the details of Maryland plans and could very well recommend the wrong plan
  • Do NOT give anyone your billing information over the phone until you have had a chance to review the plan on your own
  • Do not feel pressured. If any agent is making you feel uncomfortable simply move on.
We are a local agency dedicated to health insurance. It's all we do 12 hours a day and we are experts in the Maryland market. We will not put any pressure on you and be happy to go over your choices. The plans need to be explained in detail or you may end up getting stuck with hundres or thousands in bills after you come to find that your plan "doesn't cover that."

We are available from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday - give us a call and again, we'll go over your choices with zero pressure.
