what is the correct formatting to use? I think I am goofing something up by doing this:

These quality guidelines cover the most common forms of deceptive or manipulative behavior, but Google may respond negatively to other misleading practices not listed here (e.g. tricking users by registering misspellings of well-known websites).
It's not safe to assume that just because a specific deceptive technique isn't included on this page, Google approves of it. "Quality Backlinks" is what google likes. Also, each site you get a backlink from only counts as one backlink. If you have multiple youtube videos, that will only count as one backlink.
Based upon my experience, this is a gray area and google always changes their algorithms.
