Has anybody tried this? It would seem like this would work with the lower income/older crowd better, so I thought it would work well for FE.

For those that don't wanna read, basically you mass door hang an offer to do a free living will for people. The idea is that the same reason why someone would want a living will is the same reason they would want insurance. So you fill out LW and then sell them life, FE, CI etc, and then offer to contact their family members (who they've given you contact info for in the LW). You update them on what mom, or aunt whoever has filled out, and offer to do a LW for them as well. Then you have unlimited prospects. Mark claims a 70% conversion ratio from LW to a sale.

Word of mouth works the best. Door Hangers just dont work. You have to place out tons of them to get any kind of results. You get more results when someone see you leaving it on someone door and asking you are you doing. Then you start talking to them.

So just offer the free living will by word of mouth to friends/family? And other than being more in depth than just the LW, what's the difference in the personal affairs marketing system? Do you market this by word of mouth as well?

How many people own life insurance and dont even know who they have it with? There is a lot of unclaim life insurance money out there. The agent that sold it to them, did solve all the problems. 3 simple things in this kit, solves a lot of the headaches. It will let you family members know if you have life insurance, a living will, a will, who they need to call when you die and a lot of things that they need to know.

I need to make a traing video on this system when I have time. But feel free to call me and I will go over it with anyone.

Lots of agents have some type of final wishes kit, or something like this.

If you work this correctly, it can lead you to more prospects and help a lot of people.

For clarification, this type of marketing is now illegal in the state of California under SB 1170:

SEC. 2. Section 785.4 is added to the Insurance Code, to read:

785.4. (a) It shall be unlawful for any insurance agent who is not licensed as an attorney to deliver to a person who is 65 years of age or older, a living trust or other legal document, other than an insurance contract or other insurance product document, if a purpose of the delivery is to sell an insurance product.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any insurance agent who is licensed as an attorney to deliver to a person who is 65 years of age or older, a living trust or other legal document, other than an insurance contract or other insurance product document, unless the insurance agent complies with Section 6175.3 of the Business and Professions Code

You might want to update your training site to reflect this new CA law for any agents in CA using that training.

Am I still ok to offer this to my MA prospects? It might be easier than cross selling life insurance at the same meeting.

I think it's wise to stick to selling insurance and let the legal community deal with the wills. You can certainly lead them to someone or some place that can assist them, but offering services outside your scope of expertise is an easy way to test out your E & O coverage.
