Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

I have just been sending them in as a new app. Open a tab with the old app, and start the app with the new app. Confirm it's all the same as last year with client, copy and paste, read over the points on the last page....done.

Update on the renewal capabiity?

The simple renewals functionality is highest priority is being tested. We hope to be live with it before the end of next week, and will be making an announcement broadly.

HELLO HEALTH SHERPA-- (Re: TxOnline's Info Above)

You're showing the Individual Deductible/OOP on the quotes for 2 people, but not for 3 or more. Three or more is still showing a FAMILY deductible for each plan on the quote listing. Is this something that CMS is forcing you to do? If not, PLEASE show the Individual Deductible/OOP. The prospect/client can see the family deductible when they open the SOB by clicking the Benefits Tab. The current display is confusing families. I'll also send this request to you via e-mail. Thanx!

How is everyone answering this question on the Health Sherpa application for people who have health insurance right now? Technically, Obamacare IFP people don't have 2016 coverage.

"Existing Coverage:

Does this person already have coverage for 2016?

• Yes

No "

I think this said "2015" yesterday?

Thanks for surfacing this. Looking into the individual deductible display and we'll get back to you.

Hello AllenChicago,
We will remove fam. deductibles altogether and only show per person. Will announce that here when it's pushed.

Hello saintstigers,
Our Eng team is still working on some fixes - Renewals is slotted to be done and out by Tues/Wed. of next week. I will definitely post here as soon as it's live.

Cheers!

Per Family Deductible has been removed and you should no longer see this in the experience.

CAT, you're amazing! Continued thanks and appreciation to You and Engineering for your talents, efficiency, and for keeping up with this thread.

p.s. Please be sure to let us know if Health Sherpa is correct when the application asks if an applicant has 2016 health insurance in effect. My logic is having problems with that question. TIA.

Hello AllenChicago,
You should be answering No on that question for your applicants. This question is to make the distinction on whether the client will have access to ESI when the ACA plan starts.
Cheers!

OMG Cat. This is scary. HC.gov asks the same question, but uses 2015 in the "do you have insurance" question, I believe.

Can anyone else confirm this? I don't use HC.gov often enough to be exactly sure.

You're correct Allen. In going through the HC.gov application, there are two separate points where it asks about coverage. One is "are you covered now and what kind" the second is the ESI question.

Thank-you that confirmation MWoodbrid. I think the person who designed the HealthSherpa application put the incorrect year in their "do you have current health insurance" question. There's no mention of Employee Sponsored Insurance in the question. I assume that's what ESI means in this context?

I will only use HC.gov... as a true American and follower of the Federal Health Care Reform law I will only allow the client to create an account and conduct the application on the federal website...... You people need to do the same

Wow - what a post. So with that mindset why would a consumer need your assistance at all? And why would you bother to post your statement is even more confusing. And please, you can do what YOU want but please don't be telling everyone else what they NEED to be doing in their business.
