Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

Sigh.

Renewing an old client. Household of 2. Income of $24,000. Health Sherpa estimated subsidy of $576. We do the redirect, fill out the app on hc.gov...real subsidy, $486. These are clients that do not want a premium at all. So the $0 premium we had chosen based upon HS's false subsidy estimate is now over $70 per month. So we want to go back to the original bronze plan that was still a $0 premium. Now when we go back to healthsherpa to finalize, there is no way to change the plan.

Any ideas?

Try going to healthcare.gov directly, having them set up a client account, and choosing a plan there at hc.gov, based on the eligibility determination the client just received.

This couple does not own a computer or email address. And the government has said we can't set up their own account on behalf of them.

I have emailed agent support to see if they can help me.

Do a NEW Sherpa app............

I've done this before.
Works like a charm

I thought about that just a second ago. So I could just delete the pending one thats on my dashboard right now. Do another new app from scratch. Get over to healthcare.gov, and I shouldn't have to do anything there right? Just "return to enrollment website" and finish up?

Thanks TxOnline!

I never delete the 1st entry on Sherpa.
I leave it sitting right there.

I just do a brand-new 2nd Sherpa app.
(Sherpa doesn't charge you extra for duplicate apps.)

Yes, re-direct over to govt site....pick up tax credit......return to Sherpa for enrollment into CORRECT plan.

I changed income on the marketplace but it wont change it on the sherpa site, so frustrating, customers want to make payments but its being reflected.

FYI..you have to be extra careful with quoting on HealthSherpa because they've changed the interface...yes, changed it AGAIN.

Instead of showing that a child may not be eligible, on the left side of the page, highlighted in red, that wording has been moved to the right side, and in small, non-highlighted words. If you don't look on the right side, there's no indication (except for premiums that seem a bit low) that the child has been excluded from the quote/subsidy. Egg on my face yesterday due to this sudden Sherpa formatting change.

Oh, Allen, this is SUCH a nightmare!
I'd swear that I did one yesterday that HAD those bright orange buttons on the LEFT side about CHIP for the children. (But, my days are all running together, too.)

This moving target is SO frustrating!

Thanks for the heads-up!!!!!!!!!
