Health Sherpa 2016 Open Enrollment

So you're telling me she's not enrolled. How then could we pay? I will wait a few days to see if the insurer can find anything, and when they don't we'll attempt SEP. On to wine bottle #2.

Sorry, but I don't have access to your client, so I can't "tell" you anything about her, WiscBroker.

Over the past 3 years, I've only had one client pay their premium at the time of enrollment. But common sense says that MoLina is likely holding the $$$, waiting for her Identifying Data to arrive from HealthCare.gov so they can mate the two.

Waiting a few days is prudent. In the meantime, do some SEP-related research: What's the best SEP for her... How to do it on HC.gov without having her call in... or, locate a WBE that's processing SEP enrollments concurrently with OEP enrollments.

Can you do a sep during open enrollment?
I was told you cannot which means if someone's loses coverage at the end of the year you couldn't enroll them January 1 but it would have to be February 1.
Is this correct?

Thank you Allen, valuable advice

This may be a silly question....but does anyone know if HS is back to working "normally" for the rest of the AEP season?

I had an ap hung up for a couple days on 12/14......and the client said to wait for Feb 1st start....but then the ap processed on its own....long after HS said no longer working.

Even though I am disappointed in how this all played out....if I have one or two stragglers for a 2/1 start, is there any reason not to load them in via Sherpa. No need to even look at a better web broker, better or not, as I do not have the volume to support it. I'll just use HC.gov if HS not available. Not sure even if HS is now FREE.

In fairness, I still like Sherpa. Good guys. It was nice when it worked. But Kenny is a good guy too and ACA is working quite nicely.

Good news - we're seeing 2/1 effective apps going through normally. Additionally, we're maintaining the free pricing at least through the end of the year.

We also wish things could've gone more smoothly this week - it's been a stressful few days. It's worth mentioning that despite the hiccups, the last few days were record-setting for HealthSherpa - by an order of magnitude.

Almost everyone in the ecosystem (including all different parts of the HealthSherpa business) has been struggling with the periods of peak demand. If we had faced lower volume (as we do in non-deadline days), we likely would've had a much breezier time, but a lot of what happened was also beyond our control.

We should have more updates later, but the good news for now is that you can enjoy the HealthSherpa you've known at no cost, and we'll be hard at work to regain your preference.

I have one that did not go through today what do I do?

!!!!!!!!!!

Nevermind. went carrier direct. hopefully Sherpa won't try to resubmit.

It did the same hangup it was doing last week, when I go to open the application through the carrier double redirect, on hc.gov it is only partially completed and I have to redo all income data and some of the ssns on the app.

We love your interface Sherpa, get this stuff fixed please!

Go to your HealthSherpa Dashboard and click on the little trash can icon immediately to the right of your pending application/client. This will remove it from the submit/resubmit to Healthcare.gov queue.

I did that, just not sure with all the hiccups lately that I can count on it not being submitted.

Trying to use the "renew" button, it goes all the way to the end and clicking on the "continue" button below the ADD SPOUSE button it goes no further.
