Health Sherpa

Sherpa keeps removing Assurant and United plans for some reason. I need to sign a client up for a United policy and its not showing up anywhere in Orange County.

Look, what im trying to do with ACA is different than what probably anyone else it trying to do.... I just need the answer to how to pull it off.... if it works then I will explain it to the masses.....

Working on it Charlie, will email you when done with validation.

Well my first enrollment went great, my 2nd one, not so much. Enrolling 2, married, one is applying and the other is on Medicare. Estimated subsidy was $52, net premium for her was $322 with the Bronze HMO BCBSTX. It even had an acknowledgement box that said something to the effect of "One of the members of the household isn't eligible for coverage" or something because he was of medicare age.

However, when submitting, it tried to enroll him. So it kicked them back out with zero subsidy and a greater premium (obviously because it was for 2). To HealthSherpa's credit, I called and spoke to a person who was very helpful. She said she would go in and delete him and resubmit the application and all should be well. We'll see how it winds up.

Anyone else know if there was something I should've made sure to do with enrolling 1 and not the other? I thought by clicking that acknowledgement box that would've solved it.

All of my cases are now showing subsidy, screen shots of h.gov application confirmation/sig page. Happy as a lark now. More to go in.

My previous problem was fixed within about 10 minutes of my phone call. The resubmitted app is corrected and showing the correct subsidy. So far so good. Well worth the $25 per app so far in my opinion.

Well. The client got a message from HC.gov, and to see it, they are asking her to create an account, with password. Then they are asking if she wants to apply for coverage. Nowhere on there do they give her the opportunity to put in the confirmation number we got from Health Sherpa.

Now, she's afraid - and so am I - that we have to start all over again, on HC.gov, and that Health Sherpa was just a waste of time.

Any advice?

The Saga continues...

We created her HC.gov account, verified her identity. When we got to the "found application" page, we tried to put in the verification number Health Sherpa sent both of us, and it didn't work.

Any reason why?

:embarrassed:

Because you are doing it wrong.

Click on the clients enrollment in the healthsherpa enrollment dashboard page. Log into ffm backdoor from link in upper left hand side of page. Search for app. Likely it is an income or ID verification issue. You could also figure that out by simply reading the subsidy determination letter. Hint, page 3.
