Because you are doing it wrong.

Log into ffm backdoor...

P.Q. or anyone...I've seen several references to the Federal Marketplace's "back door". I Google it and turn up nothing by unsavory items.

Is there a URL for this...or, a CMS document that explains it, and how agents can use this back door entrance to Healthcare.gov?

Are you talking about the portal that connects to the carrier?

I have used 3 carrier portals and hc.gov and only had payment errors. I have two of the other sites and haven't used them.

I don't know, Rugerred. There are several references to the FFM back door in various threads, but no one is describing what this back door is, how to access it, or what can be done after the agent goes through it.

However, It sounds like it may be a tool for agents to manipulate client's data on their behalf, without breaking CMS rules by using their (your client's) UN/PW to access their account and application(s).

PQ is referencing the "back door" entrance from your HealthSherpa dashboard.

Log-in to HealthSherpa.
Click on Enrollments (to see the clients you have enrolled using HS).
Click on the Applicant (that you want to assist).
You'll see all of the details about this Applicant's enrollment...like:
- Applicant's name, address, email address
- Plan selected
- Monthly premium (less subsidy)
- Summary-of-Benefits info (for plan selected)
- Eligibility Letter (from the govt)
- Effective date of coverage
- Household info....and which family members applied for coverage

You'll also see a BLUE BOX at the top-RIGHT of this screen (Applicant's Details Screen).
Blue Box says: Access
Click on that Blue Box & you can access client's HC.gov account.
You'll log-in using AGENT's FFM ID & Password.

Thank-you TxOnline for such detailed instructions. Depending on what can be done there, this can be a big time saver!

Appreciatively,

All of my Sherpa apps are now posting in my carriers websites... had a few post un less than 12 hours. Sold this morning and in bcbs by 10 pm... Sherpa is now king... kennys system at aca... nothing posted at the carriers yet... sad, I feel bad for him......smmfh

Good for you Peeler...right now I can not share the love with HS.

I have 5 apps sitting in their queue doing nothing. My FFM password has been certified based on their response, yet not one app has been processed since 11/17/14. No eligibility letter, no nothing. What the heck is going on...What is the dang deal with HS.

Rus,

Make sure you are supplying the right information about your ffm user id and password. I was giving them a new password, but didn't remember that I had changed my user id. My apps were stacking up like that, now they are flying through.

Click on the clients enrollment in the healthsherpa enrollment dashboard page. Log into ffm backdoor from link in upper left hand side of page. Search for app. Likely it is an income or ID verification issue. You could also figure that out by simply reading the subsidy determination letter. Hint, page 3.

Thank you. We actually found it on the Eligibility Letter.
