I have a 74 FN. I submitted it graded as she had heart surgery about 5 years ago and still takes Warfarin. She is also diabetic on insulin 13 units per day. She was happy with the payment and seems quite healthy. It came back declined because of a med she had taken recently. Of course the underwriter could not tell me what the drug was so I had the client call in and they asked her about Alzheimer's. It appears that she complained to her DR. about her memory about 3 months ago so they put her on Namenda. She took it 3 or 4 times and stopped taking it. She saw the DR last week and he asked her about it and she told him she wasn't taking it an he appeared to have no problem with it at all.

She seems very sharp and appears to be in very good health. I just want to get her approved graded. When I was taking the ap I thought I might be able to get her bought [referred but didn't want to mess with it.

Amy suggestions?

I meant to say I thought I might be able to get her bought "preferred" not [referred

Prior to your knowledge of the namenda, why did you place it graded if the heart surgery was 5 years ago? That's easy to find level coverage for.

Now the namenda is a different story. Move on because she is done. Nobody is touching this one with that drug in her history.

I wanted to send it to SNL and the warfarin use made it graded. She was happy with the coverage and payment. She also takes a couple of blood pressure meds and a water pill and is on insullen.

She has never been diagnosed with Alheimers. Her husband just died of alzheimers and she said she thinks her memory is not as good as it used to be, so when she spoke with the Dr. she threw that out there and he told her to try it. No tests or anything. She took it 3 or 4 times and threw them away.

I am not big on getting set up with a new company for one application. I would rather try and get an exception for the Namenda use. I use SNL, KSHJ, Aetna, Foresters and Gerber. If I were to add someone it would be because I intend to use them frequently.

Wouldn't foresters have taken preferred sans namenda??

Lifeshield should take graded. They do no Rx check. Insulin pushes it 30/70/100

I wanted to get in and out with no PHI and move on to the next one. I also want to qualify for the trip to Monaco. I was well aware of the fact I might be able to get her preferred. I was also well aware of the fact that my next appointment was a lay down.
