How Can I Get Out of a Contract with a Bad IMO ...

I second this. I have seen Oxford take agents from a few IMO's and take them on direct.

Being in my position I would say I hate that but I don't. I wish every carrier worked that way.

I had to terminate and wait 6 months to get out from under my IMO with Oxford. I was told there were 3 ways, terminate and wait 6 months, get a release, or if the upline is terminated or cancels their contract then I would be released. Obviously 2nd and 3rd were unlikely possibilities so I cancelled mine and reapplied 6 months later.

It is really best to give a sob story stating that you are getting full time employment and they require it.

Will that actually work? Has anyone did that for example you are becoming a career agent for someone like NWML and they require me to have no other contracts to be hired?

Yes, go ask but you may also avoid writing business for X months and then get re-licensed after which is what I think others were suggesting on previous posts.
