How Competitive Are Aetna Medsupps?

I just rrecently started to use them because of FMO error I had to add a state they made fill out a bunch of form that were filled from original appointment and it took a month I wrote my 1 UW piece Love the eapp Hate the fact That in addition to every med (every carrier besides AARP requires all meds) I also had to enter each doc and specialist with address and phone number Its not the worst thing in the world usually all I need is docs name and town to Google and get the rest but I will selective on who I write UW with them I also just signed contract with cigna haven't used them yet does any one know if their eapp is any easier?

New Era doesn't require meds as well

New Era is one I don't have mainly because,
When I first started selling supps
I have switched few people who had new era in MO since there plan F almost doubled in price so I basically stayed away from contracting

----------

I remember 1 woman started out $188 end premium was up to $397'
she was 77 years old don't remember how long she had plan

I write mostly plan G
Rate increase history on G is better than F

Aetna is a must if you plan on writing a good volume of med supps in multiple states. Their e-app / PI process needs serious work, having to get the reference number is a PITA. I honestly still do quite a few paper apps with them.

If you don't have Aetna, and the prospect finds out from a good agent that they have lower rates than what you quoted, likely deal lost.

You know what I don't get
I show someone a $500 year savings F to N they usually go N

I show someone a $350 f to G and they get stuck somehow
and usually go F

Not everyone But enough that it leaves me scratching my head

In fact just yesterday Showed a lady $68 a month saving

going from AARP F to Aetna F and she kept saying but my doctor doesn't take it

:goofy:

I don't know how anyone could be impressed with the e-app process especially with the painfully long phone interview.

Yeah I sold a lady over the phone the other day and we called into Aetna together and I just muted my phone (they told me later I could be on the phone with her), and it was grueling. Worse than Lafayette and Oxford rolled into one. And still didn't get the authorization # to push it through e-app the rest of the way. She had to call the voice authorization number, and this lady was sharp, but couldn't figure it out.
