I Can't Get Out to Sell So I Need to Sell Over The Phone-Help-Any Companies?

Oxygen will never show up on an Rx report. Same with wheelchairs or home health care or helps with ADLs. CHF will show up most of the time on an Rx report. Prosperity for example, doesn't have a combo list that auto rates someone modified due to Rx history alone. Most carriers do. Prosperity will just ask a client "your rx report shows a history of furosemide, was this prescribed for CHF? If the client says no, then they issue it as level. Sleezy clean sheeting prosperity agents do this for CHF people all the time. They rationalize it for the clients by saying "if your meds haven't changed in the last 2 years, then you can say no". There are agents on this forum that say this.

The bottom line is this. No matter what interview process a carrier has, sleezy cheating agents will always find cracks to exploit the system. The clients can be easily coached to be "convinced" they are answering honestly even though they don't know they are lying.

There is no way to 100% guard against bad agents. All you can do is minimize it.

Prosperity will probably change the wording on this health question down the road. Or maybe raise their rates a little? Or maybe inch closer to the exit door?

Prosperity isn't going anywhere. They write a lot of FE.

I hope they change the UW to weed out the clean sheeters. If they don't, they will be forced to raise rates.

Three things you should know about tele-sales.

1. You're gonna "burn baby burn" though leads like you've never have before, so order a lot! If you're used to 20 a week, you might need 50-100 a week to get through the learning curve and to get ahold of enough people.

2. Once you finally get ahold of someone it's game time! There's no setting an appointment for a future call/sit. You need to have a callflow/script that leads you from "hello" all the way to the app and tele interview with Apptical/Underwriting.

3. The best telesales carriers are the ones that have true Social Security billing, do voice signature, and give you an immediate decision on the same call. Avoid carriers that require an e-signature like MoO if you value your time!

Only 2 and 1/2 yrs ago, SL agents were selling Standard policies unbeknownst to those who otherwise qualified for the lower premium Preferred and Super Preferred policies, for no other reason than the higher commission it paid. Same thing is happening at this moment. Prospects who qualify for Super Preferred most likely would qualify for the significantly lower-premium Ultra Preferred. Yet again, no one informs the client of this, because the agent would take a big hit on commission.
The agents are faced with a huge integrity and ethical dilemma. For what other reason would you not offer your client the best product you have for their situation?

The super-preferred pays full commissions and beats just about any other carrier's rates. Ultimate preferred has the cheapest rates in the nation but is more difficult to qualify for, especially for people between 60-85.

People who qualify for super-preferred do NOT usually qualify for ultimate preferred. Hope that clarifies things for you. It's always good to make sure you post accurate info up here as others may be misled by your misinformation. Below is a sample of someone qualifying for the ultimate preferred and super preferred......

I agree 100% with your #2 and #3. For #1 I'd say 40-50 leads. Only 20-30 if you enjoy true live transfers from a FE TV commercial.

You know that I try to be as impartial as I can. I have never made a statement concerning SL that was false.

According to page 5, of the current SL Agent Manual, it reads verbatim:

Ultimate Preferred Whole Life is offered to people ages 0-85 who have no health issues and who have not used nicotine products in the past 10yrs. We offer this whole life coverage at very reasonable premiums with a face amount range of $10,000 to $30,000. Due to the preferred class of risk, additional underwriting may be required. The following also apply: The applicant must have a checking account;. a primary care physician; and, only one medication per condition accepted. Not available in Minnesota.

Super Preferred Whole Life is offered to people ages 0-85 who have no health issues and who have not used nicotine products in the past 5 yrs with face amounts of $5,000 to $30,000. Due to the preferred class of risk, the following also apply: The applicant must have a checking account; only one medication per condition accepted.

The only difference between the 2 classifications is the length of time the prospect has not smoked and UP requires a PCP.

With the exception of the duration of nicotine usage, why would you say someone who qualifies for super preferred do NOT usually qualify for ultimate preferred?

Is the Agent Manual accurate, or are YOU misleading?

Please clarify.
